Wiindows 10?

Is Windows 10 compatible with the UF client? I downloaded the client from the link provided here, but the patcher will not run and when I try to launch the client, Windows 10 tells me the app cannot run on this PC.

Anyone else seen this?

Possible that Windows 10 didn't like it when you were converting. Suggest moving out of where Windows 10 put it, deleting all shortcuts and doing a search on eq*.exe to make sure it isn't hidden someplace you don't know about.

Then make a new folder, like THF-EQ all by itself out of the program files and starting eqgame.exe from that folder.

I've been running windows 10 professional 64 bit on UF client in THF for months on 4 computers.

Firewall rules, flagging when converting, etc. is probably the problem.

Thanks for the response, but eq client was never installed on this PC until today. Firewall is off as well.

Well, clearly, something is wrong with the UF installation......

It's not very clear. There is no "installation". You simply download the UF client and extract it to your desired location. No installation to speak of. If the download and the extraction occur without error, you can assume nothing went wrong with the "installation".

I have downloaded and extracted it twice now. When I try to run the THFDownloader, it says Unsupported: Contact THF Admins. And, like I mentioned, Windows 10 is treating the UF client I downloaded, from the link provided here, as an incompatible program.

I had issues with the first UF client mirror. The 2nd link worked for me though. I don't have windows 10 so this might not be a Windows 10 issue.

Also, definitely check the file size of your EQgame.exe. I think mine was 0kb and was giving me that message. Something messed up when I downloaded it on a different computer.

Thank you, damon. My exe is indeed 0kb. I will try one of the other mirrors.

Thanks

Yup, you were right, damon. It seems something is wrong with the first download link. I tried the second mirror and things are better.
