Hi Guys,

Trying to help a friend of mine download the UF client from the Getting Started link at the top, and i noticed that the main link and mirror 2 have a 4.0GB file download, while mirror 1 has a 6.1GB download. Anyone know why this is?

I remember seeing a post recently about someone downloading lots of 0kb files, I'm hoping the one they're getting (a 4.0 copy) isn't one of those corrupt ones.

No, the 4GB version is a "shrunk" UF client, we removed some obsolete files. It should work fine.

I had the exact same problem as the other poster, "Unsupported: Please contact THF admins" and using the link from Lillu's reply on that post didn't work either, same error.

I copied my eqgame.exe (5mb ish) to replace hers (one of those at 0kb) and the patcher started working, so it seems the patcher wasn't the issue it was an empty exe file.

I'm hoping the other 0kb files won't have a massive impact otherwise i'll be here all night copying stuff over 517 files to update through the patcher though, hopefully that'll take a good chunk of them.

Well, patcher finished but all sorts of errors afterwards. Either retry or start copying manually, either way, ugh.

Any chance of a patcher that includes all game files, rather than just THF custom?

Perhaps separate to the normal patcher, something that when people post about these errors you can say "Here's the Fixit patcher, run this" ?

Welcome to use that link to my dropbox and download the Client. It is compressed using Winrar. Just download all the parts and run winrar on it. once unzip run THF Patcher on it to get it up to date and you should be good to go. There is also some sample macro starters to help with getting MQ2 started if your interested in that.

I didn't realize eqgame.exe was obsolete

THF uses the "eqgame.exe - Shortcut" which includes the "patchme" switch on the end, to prevent it connecting to Sony to update itself. If you patch EQ you gotta redownload it all

Ugh ignore the above, ridiculously tired and not thinking straight. Wish i could delete that

The 0kb eqgame wasn't obsolete, it was corrupt

Re-downloaded to try and fix some issues I was having and in the 4gb download my eqgame.exe was corrupt as well.
