The Hidden Forest

Hey all, me and my crew are having an issue, and am looking for a little input

We tried this fight last night 5 times, all ending in the exact same failure.
We have a donor SK go into her room, pull her to the wall like suggested.
We then have a donor War, go in and pull the 2 adds that popped with her anger.
We get the 2 adds inside the hallway behind the door, and out of her line of site.
I mez the add, and slow the other with a chanter.
we beat the other one down and kill him and the adds pop, at which point the war grabs them too.
Chanter mezzes the 2 new ones. 3 times last night at this point, the cleric healing the sk in the other room is death touched. The other 2 times, it didn't happen. after we kill like 2 more adds, crowd control goes out the window, and the SK dies in the main room, and Vasella just starts summoning people to their death.

What are we missing?

The way we do it is this:

Offtank (ours is a pally) pulls her to just right of the gate out of LoS. Wait a little bit to gain aggro. Main tank goes and grabs adds and brings them to a little bit past the gate -- be careful to keep them really close, as they can only go a certain distance from Vasella and then will AoE the raid. Main tank just keeps all aggro on himself from all the adds (we don't mez) and rebuffs with instant clickies when debuffed. You can look up Bazillion's stats and compare your AC to his, to see if you can do it without mezzing. If you get that down, it's just a constant rhythm of getting an add to 50% and staking it, then moving to another one. It's a simple fight once you get it down.

once with no mez, we died fast.
got overwhelmed with mezzing the other 2 times, but made it further

Okay update.
Me and 2 of my boys did it.
2 bards mezzing and 1 chanter rotating the mezzes on 2 Vamps that spawned.
We beat down the one vamp, staked it, then did the next, 2 more popped and did it all over
til Vasella died.
