I was wondering which is the best for mezzing in the higher tiers, bard or enchanter. I am most likely going to add both to my team but just seeing what you guys prefer.

best to have a bard for every group. For mezzing enchanters are best. if your boxing it will be time consuming to kepp multiple mobs mezzed.

If you keep to yourself mainly you definitely want to add 1 enchanter ASAP. Every raid needs 1 (and pretty much only 1), and not necessarily for the mez but for the t8 debuff that increases inc melee damage by an absurd amount. Add in a bard later, imho.

But as for your question, they're both pretty good at mezzing, though it's more of a hassle for the bard to do so and still maintain it's primary bardic duties.

Addendum: IIRC I've done pretty much every event through the tiers and finishing T8 that required mezzing with a bard. It's definitely possible, just requires a lot of attention, and I lost a lot of the bard's buff songs doing it. The enchanter's debuff, however, will stay up while she focuses on mezes. But I do suck at playing bards, so take that with a grain of salt

If you are serious at plugging away at THF you will find an enchanter to be very very helpful, if not essential, at some points. Mine gets dusty at times but mezzing with a bard requires much higher attention levels than with a chanter. My advice to most is to continue in the game until you need one, then be prepared to spend some time leveling one up. Depending oh how you play you will probably find that a boxed group can level up one character, like a new enchanter, pretty fast. I spent several thousand AAs on mine for AA potions to get her up to speed fast. Honestly, wish there was a bit more use of them on THF. Back in the day on Live, an enchanter was the second character I added and I always enjoyed playing an enchanter.

Also something many donators overlook: enchanter robe. Holy crap the DPS it creates in certain fights When playing my buddy's enchanter, it was easily the most powerful character in the crew. It could solo things many raids would wouldn't stand a chance on.
