The Hidden Forest

I made an observation today, when playing THF, my speed test says its at anywhere from 180-250, when not playing my speed tests say on average 950. Any ideas as to why?

What do you mean speed test and 180-250 of what?

Normally while accessing THF has literally no impact on your Internet connection bandwidth, the data between the server and client (Everquest) is designed to be viable even on a 54K modem AFAIK.

Is it possible you have something else running in the background affecting your connection?

Yeah, the 180-250 and 950 are Mbps, I have a 1gig plan. Its just an observation and curiosity really. I don't have much running in the back round, CPU is using 1% to 2% capacity. I checked my ISP's hardware to make sure it wasn't faulty to rule that out. My rig is:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz 3.79 GHz
64.0 GB (63.8 GB usable)
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080

all updated. So yeah, was just very curious.

Hey. I'm curious too TBH as an EverQuest client doesn't generate that much bandwidth usage at all. Let me know if you figure out what it is.
