The Hidden Forest

I just a started trying out some of the LDONs and last night I got a rescue mission for menagerie to locate a dark elf.

Found him, rescued him, could not figure out how to end the ldon and get credit so I finally abandoned it.

There was a portal to everfrost directly beside/below him but I couldn’t activate it. Clicked and ram through it to no luck.

Didn’t see any other possible exits on the map, which is why I gave up.

Any advice from anyone on how to end rescue missions? (I never played LDONs in Live eq so it’s a bit confusing for me.)

Haven't done LDON's for quite some time. I think it should have rewarded you once rescue was done. Bugged???

LDoNs are a bit hit 'n' miss. Some of them arent implemented at all and are just empty zones. Some dont work properly as you found. The 'Hard' LDoNs give less points than the 'Easy' ones (the easy were just boosted by like 3x i think).
I used to just spam collects and kills because they were the only ones without issues.

I've done a collection or two in the past, but mainly focus on the hard kills. They work just fine, so it must be a rescue bug.

There might be glitches in LDON but I don't think it's a 'bug'. Have you tried to take the rescued NPC back to the starting area?
