If you are talking about the T1 raid, you will need to clear out the sentry in front of him before he comes live to attack. No bane weapons or anything are needed, just the ability to hold the 8 adds (4 of which can be mezzed).

If you are asking about the T3-6 quest line from the vale then im not as sure.

If i am missing something im happy to elaborate.

As far as Emp goes, get your keys in the room and it is a straight tank and spank. You can pull them all at once if you want to.
