Familiars ! Brand new to the server, but where on earth do you get them from? This Guide will be a reference for those of you intent on collecting them, whether they be extremely common (like the vendor bought ones) or extremely rare, like those obtained from drops or questing. Listed below are all known (by me) vendor, dropped, and quested for vanity pets. As they are obtained and I am notified, I will update the listing. If you obtain a vanity pet *not* on the list, please PM me on the forums with the name of the vanity pet, the way it was obtained, as well as a screenshot of the pet so I may add it to the guide. Now, from what I've seen after viewing loot tables, it appears that each of these mobs has a varied chance of dropping each orb, anywhere from 5% droprate up to around 35%, dependent on the rarity of the orb, and the length of the spawn timer.

I got the Familiar Orb: Snow Wolf Pup from Derakor the Vindicator in Kael yesterday.

Icewell, forgot what named dropped it.

Vesk, adding yours to the database next, and the snow cub Ill dig for and see if I cant find something.

On a side note:

Phase 1: Zone/mob link collection info - COMPLETE

Phase 2: Drop rate % check (to check for those mobs with higher drop %'s)

Phase 3: Pics ! (Will take a while, as Ill have to either collect them myself or find someone who has them already who would let me borrow the familiar for a minute or two for a screenshot)

Hint: visit the hidden vale

I did and nothing looks any different. None of the NPCs hail any diff, and none of the boxes contain anything new. Am I missing something?

No way am I spending LDoN points on those though haha. Its a pain in the butt enough to farm gear outta there as it is!
