I have currently stopped leveling at 61 to grab my essential AAs and it got me thinking that maybe I am wasting my time since we have a De-Leveling option. Since I am not familiar with this process, how does it work? Am I better off hitting 70 before working on any AAs?

The De-level has been disabled for a while now. Getting to 70 is the best way to go ;)

Definitely hit 70. Once you're there, grind PoV for AA. I recommend grinding as long as you possibly can stand, to rack up the AA points and then choose wisely for your class. If you ever want more dps for an AA grind group, hit me up.

another good place that i have found recently, and it never has anyone in it. is UMBRAL the mobs there are light blue some dark blue to a 70 with decent tank and healer you can mass pull sections of the zone at once work ure way around zone and by time you get to the start they will be ready again.
I did this for 2 hours with War. Rog bot Clr box got 16 AA and decent coin. during this time never seen anyone else in zone.
Give it a try what can it hurt.

16 AAs in 2 hours isn't really good :p

Anyway Umbral or Mayden Eyes are good , because there is no risk at all
