Windows vista Home Premium and boxing< i need help

PC specs listed below
amd sempron duel core proc 2300
nvidea geforce 9200
3 gig ram
21" wide screen monitor
So the problem im having is when i box characters when i alt+tab between toons I get a black screen.
In order to remove this black screen I have to alt+enter(full screen).
But once I alt+tab to switch again I get the black screen again...over and over.
I have tried using different screen resolutions, lowering and raising my framerates, using softer colors on monitor(power useage), to no avail.
If anyone has any ideas or has encountered this problem before please lend me a helping hand as its a pain to box like this.
