Anybody familier with this guy? Any suggestions on how to bring him down, We tried a few times then lost interest, cuz he kept wipeing our grp out... he death touched our SK and wiped us, so i got on my warrior and tanked him with my warrior, he turned around DTed the SK again, then a couple minutes later he death touched our DPS, then cleric ran outa mana lol...
So is it we just need 1 person to take the DT then just pound it with DPS ? b4 he DTed again ?

Truth, with enough luck you can survive several DTes with 2 tanks and DI.

I concur. DI is my lifeline for any mob with the ability to DT multiple times before it dies.

I THOUGHT he DT'd but ppl kept telling me no he didn't and that if he did, that DI wouldn't save me. But oddly enough he only did it to me the first time I fought him, the second time he didn't do it. So I dunno, it's a tough one =(

Just as a general purpose - every raid boss fight, make DI a mandatory buff that the cleric puts on the MT last (in case mob dispells, so the buff stays on). Doesn't matter what boss, just do it.

DI is your best friend in this game. Doesn't matter if the mob DTs or not. There is always the chance that you could get behind on heals and DI will save your life. It's a mandatory buff for me. Get the clicky pants from ToV for DI2.
If you don't have a cleric, pop a cleric bot. They will hit you with DI1

If you have enough hp you can survive the HT.
If your monk is tanking, try to time the 66 disc Dreamwalk to avoid the HT. I think it gives you a 100% chance to resist spells but the HT may be unresistable, I'm not sure. It only lasts 3 ticks too.
When I did this fight I did it with 8 characters-war, clr, shm, monk, rng, mage, monk, shm. First the warrior tanked, then once he died to the HT my monk started tanking. Eventually he died and the mage pet ended up tanking the last ~10%. It was quite an epic fight. I think the mage 1.5 pet had a ton of hp and was able to take the HT. We even zerged a little with a few characters dying, respawning, sune buffing, rezoning into ssra and then the mage would coh them to the fight.
I suggest you just bring a lot of people. Offtanks to pickup aggro after the tank dies and dps to shorten the fight so not as many tanks/offtanks die.

My $.02:
On EQlive, Exiled did DEATHTOUCH, originally that was 20k, however, if you remember, when tanks began to have greater than 20kHP, it was raised to 100kHP. However, I have killed Vhyz'dra the Exiled 10+ times on this server, in many fashions, including solo'ing. He has never death touched me. If he "harmtouches" that is not the same as death touch, and should be resistable. Assuming this cannot be resisted (if it is harmtouch, and why he did not do it to me, I am not sure)- simply use two tanks- rez during battle if needed. Next time he is up and is deathtouching if you send me a tell in game, I am interested in figuring out what exactly he does/if you need help, I can kill him for you.
