The Hidden Forest

For starters, I love the THF server, been playing for a while with a Beastlord, and Mage.

The 70 pets for each of those make soloing very nice and i could even do some T1 raiding solo which was awesome....

I leveled up a Wizard and without a tank or Bot (pali) that can tank harder hitting content, my question is how do you solo as a wiz? I used a Pali bot to level up, but now he just gets owned.

Appreciate any help on this, thanks in advance!.. I guess i can just go back to a pet class.

Wizards aren't designed to be solo friendly on this server since 99.9% of the mobs summons so you can't kite them. and a wizard will get destroyed toe to toe.

Buy every donor armor/staff there is along with the donor aug for every slot. Oh and then after that, bring a Tank, healer, chanter, druid, sham and bard.

Easy.

You just gotta make sure you pull off the CDC each time.

Chaotic.
Detonation.
Crit.

/sigh.. i was trying to make a pure dps class for solo...

maybe i should just make a warrior and use a cleric bot..

i want to be the best at something.. Thought wizzy would be best DPS if i could solo too.

Can warrriors solo? (bot solo i mean)... maybe a Zerker?

In all seriousness, being able to solo as a wiz wouldn't be balanced on a server like this because their damage output puts other classes to shame.

I'm sure that, if you ask nicely, the devs would consider making the PoF mobs before the Guardian of Doomfire have a little more HP and not summon.

Solo on a server like this is defined as running 2+ toons.

If you are 1boxing for xp, then yea, a warrior can do the XP zones fine.

Group+ content is designed for a group+. You should be able to "solo" (2 box) this if you spend the time gearing.

Tank classes will have an easier time soloing than non-tank classes, even if their dps sucks.

Want to be the best at something? Farm a ton of plat from gems and get discs' or spells from Baz - they will help a ton. Just don't cast the t8 wiz spells if you can't handle the feedback =p.


Do you like doing insane damage from casting spells? If so, take your own advice and play a wiz. Guilds love them and you will find a way to solo xp. Free buffs from THF/bumming WOA will allow you to solo "70 xp zones".

You can have as much skills as you want, if the mobs summons you will bite the dust.

a good solo dps class could be a monk or a zerker. once correctly equiped and with a minimum of donors ( lets say leggs + weap augs ) you can solo a lot of stuff and have fun out of raid time.

Skill was his name Firenze It's the only wiz I saw that had so many donors, including DI shield He was soloing mobs in bot, getting summoned but killing him so fast, clicking his donor bracer to get back hp and so on Only battle wiz I ever saw. Was fun
