Black screen of doom.... please help me

So, this started when I ported to the plane of valor, it went to the loading screen and then finished loading, after that the whole screen was black. I can still move my cursor around and I can resize things like the spell bar if I happen to get lucky enough to scroll over it. it seems like this issue is mimicking a blind spell. and now I cant even log into my character without getting the black screen. (I've already tried the stuck character remover) please help. thanks.

What client?

Windowed mode or full screen?

What is your screen's resolution?

Can you see any of the ui elements beside your mouse?

Would you paste the [Default] and [VideoMode] sections of your eqclient.ini file inside of a [cod.e][/c.ode] tag so we can help troubleshoot better?

If you create new characters can you see on them?

Things to try:

1) Browse your everquest folder and find your character's ui file ( UI_Tanabeki_HiddenForest.ini). Rename it to anything else. Fire up the Titanium client. The game will recreate this UI file with default settings since it thinks the old one is missing (but it's safe and sound with the new name). Try entering the world now and see if your blindness has lifted =).
2) Change your game resolution to something super low. 960x600 should be plenty low if you want to try that.
--I don't think it's this, since you can see your mouse.

Hopefully that does the trick. I think your ui or video settings for that character went all fubar at some point.

neither option worked I renamed my char file and then restarted the client and logged in.
same black screen.
also tried 900x600, came up with black screen still.

None of those fixes worked. I thought for sure at least one of them would.
This is honestly the most frustrating thing ive had to deal with in years. (pertaining to EQ)

However I am completely convinced my char has a neverending blind spell on him. I can /camp and do anything I want. I just cant see anything.

You did try creating a new character, right?

I'm not able to get online atm, but if someone could duel him and kill him, it might be worth a try. I seem to recall something similar to this happening and death was the answer. hehe.

Also yes try to create a new toon if you haven't already.

Make sure you have the most current spell file found here:
viewtopic.php?f=37&t=796

Sometimes if you get the wrong spell file or don't update properly some worn/focus effects will cause the game to think you are blinded (aka black screened).
