Forum Guide - Subforum How To!

This guide is to help people get comfortable with the forums, show how to Join/Moderate Guild Sub Forums, and other Useful tools for Forum Trolls!
First off In order for a Sub Forum to Be Created it must meet the guidelines set forth in the Guild Recruitment/Creation Forum by Lillu.
In order to Create a sub forum, PM Lillu with your request (Hes the Forum manager, and deals with all issues Forum related). He will set you up with one.
How To Join a Guild Subforum
There are two ways to join a guild Subforum. The first way sends a request to the forum Moderator, the second is for the moderator only who can manually add any User on the forums. Remember before anything like this can be done you must have signed up on the forums!
Request Sub Forum Access:
To Request subforum access by your moderator, first click the User Control panel at the top of the screen.
On the User Control Panel, on the left hand side of the page there is a Usergroups link. Click on that.
On the Usergroups page you will see a list of all the Usergroups available to join, All the groups that Tyler has created are listed here, your own memberships if you belong to any are listed at the top. First Click the Button next to the group you wish to join.
Then At the bottom of the page there will be a drop down menu, here select the option you wish, if you currently belong to one you can chose to leave the forum, or if you are currently a leader you can demote yourself from Moderator. To join the forum, click Join Selected And then Click Submit.
This will send a request to the moderator of the forum for you membership, they will receive an email notice (if that option is selected in their UCP) that will inform them of your desire to join, and they will have to manually accept your request. (See next step of guide)
Once they have accepted your request you will have access to the subforum @ the bottom of the index page!
How To Moderate a Sub Forum
So you are moderator of your Sub Forum? This Guide Will assist you in managing your members, making announcements/Stickies within your forum, and General Forum Management.
Adding New Members to your Sub forum With/Without a Request
Moderators are able to manually remove and Add members to their subforums, in order to do this click the UCP, select Usergroups, and then Click Manage Groups.
On this Page you will see a list of the forums that you are either currently a member of, or Leader of. For the group that you are leader of, click Manage Users
This will display a list of all the users that are currently a member of your SF. Each member has a checkbox next to them, you will also see Any Users who have sent a request.
To add members who have sent a request - Simply check the box next to their name, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Approve from the drop down menu. In order to make a member a Default Group member, again click the check box, and use the drop-down menu to select Make Group Default for Member
At the Bottom of that page there is a Add Users Box. Here you can simply Enter the UN's of each member you wish to add, click the checkbox if you wish it to be their default group (IE: their UN will show the color of your guild (see next guide for SF control and personalization).
After Click Add User it will prompt you if you wish to add these members, click yes and your done! Those Users will now be members of your sub forum!
I will add more to this guide as i get time. Coming soon will be Forum Moderation, how to Sticky/Announce posts, how to edit/delete posts as a moderator, and Any other Forum Related issues that people request!
