By that logic i would need to cut down warrior dps by 70%.
Item Change -> Reload needed
Spell Change -> Reload AND new Spellfile needed

In my Vision (tm), SK, war and Paly, should be EQUAL as tanks, but where warrior has innate DPS due to DW and criticals, SK get dps via spell support, and Paly get healing/vs undead potential.

Of Course balancing out such system to be just right goign to be hard :roll:

Tank classes (namely Sk's and pallies) wanting more dps is understandable but really uncalled for. Your a tank... u tank not dps. If you wanna start wearing chain then by all means jack up the numbers ;) . I'm pretty sure if a rogue were wanting changes made for better tanking stats they'd get flamed right off the post.... just my 2cp


As Julius goes as a pally..........I dont need dps. Leave it alone. What the "Tanks" (IE: War/Sk/Pal) need is more agro control. It's not that we dont have the dps melee wise. War's are #1 Tank for dps melee, #2 SK for Melee & Spells, #3 Pally just flat out a tank. We need single target agro control. We have AE agro down with the ToV legs. That is fine with me when tanking Multi. Mob's. Even if it does take my melee dps witch helps agro control.

Agreeing with Valsavis that we dont need a dps increasing. It's the agro that tanks need. And right now we lose agro off single target mob's then anything with real dps classes.

How about this then:

Shadowknight: Dreadful Countenance - Self buff that increases hate mod 50%.
Paladin: Martyr - Self buff that increases hate mod 50%.

(I still think SK DoTs should be looked at though, casting damage spells shouldn't lower your damage. Just make the DoTs .5 second cast.)

No more buffs......................Pally's dont have room for anymore BUFFS. We have to cut back on 4 or 5 really good buffs in order to maintain ac and def. buffs like Hot, DI and all. It's sad that there are so many things that take up Buff slots.


The agro must come from a effect off a weapon or shield.

Lillu gave me green light to look over Sk spell arsenal which i will be doing over the next week. One of the main issues I will address is usefulness of SK spells, given they normaly get DOTs which necro stoped using 30 levels ago.
As well as other spell areas for SK.

As for pally, I could think for a single target Agro spell called something like Righteous Judgement - deal 500 dmg, Stun 5 seconds, Increase Agro by 5k points... or somehting.. Palies are not my really thing ;)

Hope it is a spell that is not a buff. 5k hate would be perfect and if it has a good reuse time. Thank you for working on the agro issue.

Actually the necro never bothered to use those dots because on this server using many dots is a mana inefficient waste of time. We throw maybe one dot then tap tap tap unless it's a boss fight we are talking about. Just hope when we up these SK dots we come out with a necro plate armor =P

i plan to look over necro dots too, to see if anything can be done to make them a bit more useful (given Lillu's approval ;) )
