Melee Class DPS

Dear Devs
I'd like to ask you, where do you place the Melee-Classes in the DPS Department?
At the moment its something like this, correct me if i'm wrong (first is highest dps)
1. Rogue (behind)
2. Monk
3. Berserker
4. Ranger (not sure about that, maybe with Berserker on third rank)
My question, where do you put the Beastlords in? What do you plan with this class, keep it as it is (ok dps, some support) or do you have something special in mind?
I've heard that Beastlords should be pretty high dps in high-end on live, but to be honest i'm always lower than other classes at the moment. Even with my 2.0 and the Club from Vulak. Hell, im even lower than a Paladin with Vulak's Axe
Also my pretty sucky geared Monk-Bot out dps me in 2 seconds, even when im using a DPS-Disc and crit up to 1,5k per hit.
Is this intented? I've read on the beastlord-forum, that beasts get the less damage bonus out of weapons and thus need increased damage on weapons to come up with most of the classes.
What do you think about that?

Beastlords are half monk from dps but get Pets. So far the theory. Do you compare your DPS including your pets Damage?
Imo, the ranking is fine, beside Rog/Zerks should be at 100% DPS, Monk 95%, Ranger 90. Beast/War 85%. Sk/Pal 80%
Something like this.
Casters should on short term be at 105-115% but long run be around 95-105. (Dmg casters like Wiz/Necro/mage).
Enchanters depending on the pet around 200%.

Yes, i always put in my pet when i calculate dps.
I will the take time and will parse some numbers during the next week to get some exact numbers which we can look at.
Im kinda surprised that a Warrior with much higher HP, AC and ability to tank raid mobs has the same dps like a fagile, leather wearing bst.
Checking forums from live, BST's were parsing in the higher rankings with Monk and Rangers.
Dont get this wrong, i thought bst would have higher dps than a warrior, since thats pretty much the only thing we can provide at raids and groups.

The list i posted above is not 150% set in stone, we can surely talk about who should do what.
Im pretty sure everyone agrees that rogs/zerks should come out on top of the dps chart. Imo Zerks should even have a small edge since Rogues can picklocks (not on THF

), detect/disarm Traps, Improved Hide and Scouting jobs etc etc.
So Zerks -> Rogues -> Monks for the top tier
We can as well put Beast and Rangers in the same shoes, followed by the Warriors then Knights.
Think this does more sense.
BL's shouldnt do the same DPS as Monks tho. You get pets and very needed and wanted buffs while Monks get FD. So imo that's balanced here. But as always, im listening

Zerks -> Rogues -> Monks for the top tier
I agree with this
... and very needed and wanted buffs
The only buffs i can think of are Chaotic Ascendance and Paragon.
Although Paragon isnt that effective, since most people has very high hp/mana even when you doubled the effect of Paragon itself.
But thats not the topic. Im good with Paragon how its now.
I was thinking about the role as a beastlord in a raiding guild.
Zerk is pure DPS, rogue are dps, can sos and disarm trap, monks are dps with fd and excellent pulling ability.
Rangers do get track, ATK Buffs and have the ability of doing high damage from the distance.
Of course im not saying that i want the same dps as a monk, that would be too much. Since, like you said already, we have a nice pet and some cool spells with.
Personally, i was thinking about ranger-equal dps from beasts.
They are pretty much the same if i think about it and have the same purpose in a raid.
Of course, correct me if im wrong. I didnt play a ranger
So lets say:
Zerker 100
Rogue 97
Monk 95
Ranger/Bst 90 (or even 91-93)
War 85
SK/Pal 80
Of course it depends on how much you value the buffs rangers/bsts provide. I dont see them as needed and usefull like p.e. a Clerics Buff or Shaman's Panther.

As far as your weapons are concerned, we can easily add +6 damage to both of them by dropping your stone of the dragon and freezing stone. Just get me some of those drops from FG and you should be good to go (will take you maybe 30 min).
As far as comparing yourself to Kilmer ... the dude has 100 more AA's than I do even (total 518) and you've got 290. Granted, I see you've bought a lot of offensive ones, but it looks like your set of AA's is more about your pet. Also, those swarm pets of his are particularly mean.
However, during our Nagafen fight, I've got you down as doing 419 DPS by yourself and 157 DPS by your pet - 576 total DPS on a long fight. If I average in all my fights with Kilmer last night in Kael, he's only averaging 447 DPS. Bear this in mind too, your 200 Epic damage proc and other weapon procs don't show up on my parser, but his does because they are pets. These results, however, would best be compared under the same mobs, a long fight, and same buffs (or lack thereof).
*Edit* 447 is 77% of 576.

Another issue with beastlord damage is that no one can see your pet procs. Beastlords can be great dps here, and that's because not only are you able to have panther but your pet is as well. Granted, the pet procs may only add about 300-400 dps in the long run, it's still a considerable boost.
I also think that your pet is underpowered atm, and maybe a pet foci should be put in before pofire. I noticed in the fennin cycle we had a custom pet foci item drop, but that's reallly late in the game ><.
Lastly, as Jerant said, you're missing dmg augs on your weapons. Damage augs make and break your DPS, as does sinister Strikes. Do you have SS? And yeah, get augs then parse and post the results. Be careful not to compare your parses with mine, as the parses I did were consistent of toons who had full dps buffs.

Thanks for the infos Jerant.
The only thing i added for the Pet-Utility are Affinity and Mend.
Affinity itself increases the Pet dps also, since i get touched also by group buffs now.
My Epic Proc is a Pet Buff and should increase my Pet's DPS, not my own.
And for our fight with Naggy, i was popping all my DPS Disc's, AA's and Chain casting Growl of the Panther. So, thats my absolute max dps i can bring off (with my momentary AA's. There are some i can add, but i doubt i will increase my dps more than 5-15% total ) Of course these are only speculations and cant be counted on.
@Jeido
Yes, i do have SS. And yeah, let me get these augs and i will parse during the next week/weeks.
If Pet-Focii would work as they should, my pet's dps would be a lot higher.
At the moment, as i quote Striat, maybe only a 10% boost is active. Even if you wear a 50% focii.

Ah, did not know it only takes effect on the pet. Looked pretty sweet with the +evasion and +double attack

For my future reference, is there anyway to know if there is a set target for a proc - such as in this case? I don't really see anything on MQEmulator's page except that it says classes: none, but I thought that just meant no class can cast it.
