Questions, always questions

Hi hi hi!!

First of all, I'm new to this server, and I just want to say that I'm enjoying it immensely. Now if I only could convince my husband to play here....

but I have a couple of newbie-questions to get out of the way first...

1. Fire beetle eye. My Druid needs one for her Ro-line of debuffs. I know I can usually find fire beetles in either Commonlands or Toxxulia Forest. Are these zones "normal" levels or have they been tweaked?? Getting backstabbed by an orc pawn in Commonlands for over 4k points of damage is NOT my favorite way to start out the morning, no matter HOW much coffee I have had...

2. I have met the teleporter for the normal zones, and she seems very nice, but she asks for the short name of the zone I wish to visit...is there a list posted somewhere that has those short names for those of us who are on the short bus??

3. I understand that this is a BETA server, and I'm a little nervous...does that mean when it's done being a BETA and goes "live" that there may be a character wipe? I have this bad habit of getting attached to my characters, especially when I get them to max level with thier epics and gear...

4. Finally (only because I have to run some errands before it gets too hot here today), what is the maxx level here, and up to what expansion will this server be going? I have Titanium installed, and own a copy of SoF, so I should be all set there.

Thanks bunches for making such a neat place to run rampant, and I promise to try to limit my silly questions.

Questions are always welcome!

1. Those are original state zones atm (besides some orcs? :)). Btw, I'm a coffee addict too. :p

2. I'll find out something for this. The list is kinda long, so I might just post it here on the forum soon.

3. No toon wipe at all once we go live. So enjoy your character as much as you do on a live server. :)

4. Max lvl is 70. We are developing for Titanium content, but upgrading to SoF is something that is planned for lateron. We want to stay up to date with revs and with expansions too.

Thanks and enjoy the game :)

Err sorry but lol - that should not happen, ever. I'll check out whats going on here. In the meanwhile i'll add the Fire Beetle Eye to one of the Starter-Zone Vendors.

Edit: Check out Umbo and bring 3 Silver ;)

W00t! Tamae says "thank you".

And the orc-backstab incident didnt happen on this server, I should have clarified that. It happened on my first day on another server, I was just playing it safe here.

http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=ZoneList

This gives a list of zone short-names. You may have to be logged into your EqEmulator account to view the page, however. Otherwise, you can always /ooc and ask for a zone short-names, and most people will be more than happy to help.

shortname zones already posted under guides taken from Elyse's script which cut it alot shorter im thinking the other shortname list narrows down the posibility of your character being sent to a zone thats not going to load and lock your character up until a gm gets on.
