Soloing advice

Hi all. I need a little help on an efficient character/bot combo for dungeons. Most of the good content here seems to be in a dungeon. I played a Druid on live, and mostly played solo, and didn't raid much. So, I'm a bit inexperienced. I mostly solo because I don't have a lot of time to play. I only get to play around 4 hours a week, and not all at once :( So I was hoping some of you seasoned folks could give essentially a newb a hand in figuring out a good character/bot class combo (i guess i could try boxing, but i wouldn't do more than 2 chars + a bot). I'd really appreciate some sage advice. Thanks!

First thing to consider is a healing bot is just that, a bot. If you are going to rely on it to lvl 70 and beyond, it's going to kill you more than a few times ;)
Tank bots however are a bit more manageable. #bot group attack will send it off to a target, and the bot mostly seems to try to get agro on anything that hits it, so healing one is a bit safer.

As for combo's.. It depends on what you intend to play.
Pallies are notrious for agro stealing.. so work good with rog clr shm wiz?
Rog bots will jump behind mobs whenever they can, so playing a tank class with a rog bot is good dps.

I started with a rng /shmbot combo but got sick of the mob getting dotted to death and the shm being out of mana to heal me. Switched to a shm box and a clr bot and survived after that a little better.

If you can run a 2nd char as a box... do. Then just work out what you want a bot to do for you.

Warrior Character
Druid Character
Rogue Bot

If you insist on Druid.

Warrior because you'll need the Stonewall Disc to tank anything larger then everyday stuff. Druid has the Skin reactive heal and some nukes, but you're missing out on Divine Intervention and Spell Haste, plus Ancient: Hallowed Light of a Cleric. Rogue Bot simply provides the best damage for the least amount of micromanaging. I would put the Rogue bot on the Warrior Character since he'll be moving around the most and you can just stationary the druid at your camps.

If you really want to tilt your setup for maximum damage:
Warrior Character
Shaman Character
Rogue Bot

That would give you all the shaman buffs + Spirit of Panther which adds another 900 DPS to a raid geared dual wielding character.

Awesome, thanks very much for the advice. It'll be awhile before I'm even up to seb. Any advice on pulling? :)

As far as pulling, nothing beats Monk on this server.

They get ToV leggings with Chaotic Pacify. I made an attempt to get a similar effect for Bards to no avail. So as it stands now Bards are nothing more then a Melody bot, and Monk pulls every single mob in the game fairly effortlessly.

You could tweak your setup to Monk / Shaman but you would either have to join a guild or make a warrior friend to tank for you at least until you got a solid base of gear. Or run Warrior / Shaman and make friends with a Monk to pull.

So...with the War+Rog / Shammy combo...pretty kickin butt so far. They take down mobs SO fast. But, I'm having a couple of inexperience issues that maybe you good folks could give me some tips on:

- Not pulling more than 3 mobs with this combo? (any tricks or gear I could try to get?)
- How do I heal with my Shammy without aggroing the other 2-4 mobs off the Warrior?

And so far, that's been the only real downside to this combo, which so far...I /mostly/ compensate for

Thanks all!
