So are delevelers kaput now? Or will you be offering new zones with delevelers inside them and such? Just confused me a bit when I saw it. Thanks in advance if anyone has some more info regarding the change.

I personally haven't checked to see if they work, but the guys that allow you to change into shroud form are in PoK, that is another way to delevel to group with lower lvls if you still need.

Doh, wanted to start working on my alts and without the deleveler it's back from scratch again. Heh, any idea what Lillu has planned in the form of deleveling? Or will it not be available again?

Also no luck on finding the deleveler in PoK. Though I'd imagine if one is out they all are.

Shrouds have not been implemented on EQEmu unfortunately, so that idea won't work. It would be cool to get them working though..

Why was he removed, out of interest?

He was a great way to level up with alts/friends and its one thing I mentioned to friends as a positive of the server (we all loved EQ2s mentoring system)

We got complaints daily because of de-leveled raid geared players clearing pre 70 custom zones. This was an issue and a drawback for the new players for a very long now. 99% of the players used the delevel npc to grind easy exp in custom zones, not to menthor new players.

We'll think about a menthoring system, and if you guys have any good idea, post away please.

What about a "mentor token" that can (somehow) be created by a new player, and given to their higher-levelled friend. Then that token can be given to a de-leveller NPC, and their level adjusted accordingly. However, in order to prohibit exploitation of such a mechanic, the mentor token delevelling only lasts for X amount of time, before the player is returned to his/her original level. That way both sides compromise, higher levelled players can mentor their friends, and it doesn't last forever, and abuse of the system hopefully won't occur.

Mind you, I've only had 3 cups of coffee so far, the above suggestion may be rather incoherent.

I would enjoy a system such as this. I must say it is rather hard to level and gear a boxed alt without the assistance from a deleveled friend. I hope we can find a system to replace the latter.

outta curiousity, any chance the shroud thing in pok will ever be enabled in THF? i'm craving the ability to run around as a goblin again lol.
