The Hidden Forest

So i think i should win the worst PC award! The manufactorer for my PC is VIA Technologies and for some reason when i have anything hooked up to my onboard USB slots i get random lockups at any given time.


Does anyone know how/if there is a fix for this? I know it has nothing to do with EQ as it will happen when watching movies or playing other game.

Make sure you have the latest drivers for all of the components in your system, especially the chipset. If that doesn't work, make sure your firmware is current. After that, plan to spend a lot of time on the phone with the manufacturer getting a replacement.

if you built this yourself then go to the website and seek out the motherboard drivers. usb related crashes are usually a hub driver issue that is batched in with all your other mobo drivers. depending on your os some older mobo drivers have conflicts simply because windows cant get a driver that works so a generic driver is loaded.
