True story

True story,
I pull a train because I have an alt I need to level, its easier to kill 20+ at once and no ones in the zone. Of course that leaves a few bodies to check and it takes time.
Find an item or six that my alt requires so I loot those up. This doesnt take forever but its not instant type stuff either. Before I can finish checking all my bodies here comes another player, notices my corpses and /loot, /loot, /loot...
Guess I am invisible, guess there is no need to use common sense and say "hey can I check bodies" or "Got anything rotting?"

Not a big deal, just find it humorous that the attitude of FYBIM which seemed localized to one guild is creeping across the server.

Welp bed time.

I've noticed it too, from 33-55 zones to icewell. If we handle em properly(through the proper channels) we should be able to keep it in check. Guess we were just spoiled for awhile. :)

Just a recent influx of players from other servers where this is allowed, I've issued quite a few warnings in the last few days for it.

The fact that these players are not asking for permission is an acknowledgment in itself that they know the items could be claimed by the person who made the kill and they know it is wrong. The corpse timer and/or their previous server rules is not an excuse in my opinion.

I have several play characters here and I have never been refused without reason when simply asking for permission. The same goes for leapfrogging =P

I know it may seem like a minor issue, but I have seen how bad and how fast this can escalate multiple times. If you see this happening, send me a direct tell and I will take care of it immediately if I am on.

Leapfrogging is a major annoyance as well. Good to know its frowned upon by the gms.

Thanks for the heads up Allizar. This happened to me just the other night, I was working on headhunter, down to a single mob, sitting in the room where it spawns, simply killing the 4 mobs in the room instead of slaughtering the zone. A troll comes running in the room, with a train of 8 or so mobs with him and proceeds to loot my kills. Really not a big deal as I didnt need any of the drops, and just wanted the HH mob, but annoying when they turn around, run out and dont say a word to you.

Its the people that zone in and just take what they want, or people that see you sitting in a particular place, killing specific mobs, and still feel they should run all through the room checking on all the named. Gah! Where is the respect?

I have to say though, some guilds are really great about speaking up, asking permission, and joining forces to get it done. /salute to those guys!

heh the one time i leapfrogged someone was interirely on accident and i felt like crap after i did it and i didnt even kill the mob - got shouts filtered in a spam window so didnt see them saying they were going for the royals, was on autopilot - about to pull the room, and bam i finally noticed that they were obviously down there well before me.

Wish more people would be aware of the ettiquette here though, not like theres many rules and such to play by here - just unfortunate that theres a few bad eggs in whats overall a great population 8\

Hmm i seem to remember this happening :P is true thou they have been more ppl leapfrogging lately and noteven caring if you've been there camping a mob i know i was KS'd in SSra for HH mob magasitrae i think it was after i'd been there killing room for hours it finaly spawns and bam while i killed the guy next to it someon runs in and kills it in like 2 seconds and didnt say anything but FU after i asked why he did that so ya....its getting a little out of hand at times thou im very happy for those folks like bront and others who have noticed its going on or noticed there was someoen else there and left or at least asked if there would be something rotting they could get in on..or in his case to let him know when we killed them so he could come down for next spawn

I have noticed it more lately with the increase in players and guilds being made. I honestly think there are some people that get together make a guild with the whole intent of cause n drama KSing leapfrogging etc. I would not say this if some of the other guild mates cared or said sorry etc but most just say FU buddy
With players coming from other servers to THF is not a excuse for there actions and i am sure (not 100%) but pretty sure that some of their actions would not be allowed on other server which could be the reason they now on THF (banned from others) Just my 2 bits

Just a heads up that today I had more people run up to 1.5 / 2.0 corpses and attempt to loot without asking. Well with the exception of in Unrest where two people got there and asked for loot and the first was I said sure loot the eye thats going to rot.
As for the other 1.5 and 2.0 corpses I destroyed all of the rotting items off of those bodies since the player(s) that ran up could not be bothered to ask me for permission.

If I get a tell or see it in the /say channel I will not turn down a request for rotting items.
Any time someone just runs up to my corpses and starts moving around it for several seconds I will assume they are attempting to loot and I will destroy everything or leave the crap on it to tease them.

I am from EZ server so I know all about ways to perma lock corpses and am a master at FRAPS so if people keep annoying me I'll just start reporting it and hope for temp bans -> perm bans.

Its just a game, I dont care if you loot *IF* you just ask. Thats it. Ask.
