I just recently encountered the same issue with the pets myself this past week. I was rolling through Sol Ro tower with my warrior and mage doing the quest.

At first I thought I was doing to much damage to Rizlona on my warrior and that my mage couldn't handle the pets fast enough once I started killing them, yes pet hold and focus was turned on. You will start to see the yellow system text warning you of to many NPC's once you have 21 on your aggro list, after 25 you get ported.

I can't confirm if you wipe that you have to wait an entire 24 hours to try again, but if you get ported out because of to many NPC's that yes you have to wait 24 hours for Rizlona to respawn. I don't know of any other encounter that despawns for 24 hours if you wipe, especially if you get ejected from the zone. Kinda lame.

Also, the adds do not seem to be % based but on a timer. The next day I went back with my warrior and mage and tried the fight again. Once the first pair of pets spawned, I turned off attack on the warrior and the mage with pet hold and focus enabled again I started taking down the pets once more... except another pair of pets spawned while my mage pet was killing Rizlonda's second pet from the first pair. So... I proceeded to burn down the dragon as fast as possible and managed to survive with 24 NPC's on my aggro list. If the adds were % based I should have been ejected before Rizlona died. It's not like a donor weapon/aug rk 2 water pet can one shot that dragon... my deeps isn't that crazy good to consider I did an extensive amount of damage in that I barely managed to survive the second time around. Once I saw the second pair of pets get pooped out, I knew it couldn't be % based if I was doing zero damage to the boss.

Riz pets are time based, not %. Its like 2 adds every 20 or 30 seconds ... its a burnfastfight this one.

Just tried to 1 group this event with warrior, cleric, monk, rogue, zerker, bard. I'm not sure how many players it's intended for at this level =p but with all epic 2.0s and fennin weapons and plane of air augs, I didn't even have enough dps to kill adds alone. With how much hp they have it seems like the strategy of keeping up with adds would make the fight take 20+ minutes. I didn't even notice the adds were spawning at first though, so I was behind from the start. I noticed my cleric getting hammered by something, and by that point I probably had about 12 up. As soon I saw this I began pushing 100% of dps on them and 0 on the boss. After 3 minutes of 100% dps on adds, I hit the 25 cap and got ported out. So I'm just kind of laughing to myself as to what people are doing to do this kind of dps without using t8 / donor pet classes.

Will see how it goes tomorrow now that I know what happens, maybe I can keep up with them if I'm not in full-out panic mode trying to keep up with healing. 20+ adds hurts :x Should be able to use everyone's rampage / destructive force once I get behind, but if I'm getting behind, there's 0 chance I'm going to get in boss dps. Maybe I'll try burning a bit at the start, seeing if I can catch up on adds, burning again once epic clicks are off cd then going back to adds and then a final burn. After what I just saw though, it seems pretty hopeless, guess it's time to level some casters and make group 2!

For what I remember it is suppose to be t6 difficulty, and was probably not ment to be one grouped with t5 geared toons as it is a guild instance. ;)

just need to focus on the boss and burn him down, dotn try to kill the adds you wont ever make it.

This may be true, but for it to be that difficult when the other 4 minis are 3 minute pushover fights seems odd to me! And then the fact she despawns is just evil :(

Turns out, I was sort of right. With the advice saying to kill the adds, I was concerned the dps check would be easier met by just going at the boss with everything you have rather than try to keep up with adds and making the fight take 10x longer than any fight leading up to this point.

I went at her last night, just popping every epic and disc at my disposal and burning her from the start and was able to down her right as I started getting aggro alerts for 21 mobs on the aggro table. She died with the 23 warning and it was very scary!

Anyhow, I just wanted to point out that the "zerg her down in the face" dps check is much easier to meet than the "keep up with adds" dps check. Nothing bugged, just tuning error if the intended strategy is to indeed kill the adds. It does make for a fun enrage, but maybe a little too severe. Because if you do hit the 25 cap, you're ported out and lose the event for 24 hours and your shot at finishing your sol ro key.

On a side note, I killed Xuzl on my first trip to the tower, and he has yet to show his face again for 48 hours while some of the other tower minis have respawned twice already :evil: just waiting on him to finish my key quest now that I actually have the quest.
