Even though I hardly play, i'll help with some great thoughts:

1) How about putting them back to pre-adjustment, and make the pets only summonable in T8 & above! If you zone out with your pet, Vaion gets to run a DT script!

2) Full data wipe. Make everyone lvl 1 and have lots of fun re-doing the entire server! If you level too quickly Vaion gets to run a DT script!

3) Pets stay the same, but once you summon a pet, Vaion's DT script randomly strikes!

4) Nothing changes, but Vaion implements a random DT anyway!

I'm glad I could be of service.

yea but there is no such thing as truly random, so I don't see how this would work...

When I say random, I means Vaions version of random.

Which is roughly every 5 minutes or less if its a Monday.

This is beyond disappointing. Two things I don't understand. First, when the epic 3.0/3.5 was in development, there was much buildup and discussion, even a forum was created to get feedback before it went live. Why was there no warning on this? I understand if it was a little change, but it isn't. Second, I don't understand why a t8 pet would be nerfed to be compared to a t1.5. If so, then the t8 title needs to go away. It is not t8; it's not even a t5/t6 pet. I don't understand how a pet of this (lack of) caliber is supposed to last all the way into t8 when it doesn't scale with your progression...if it can barely survive t2/t3 mobs, how is it going to be of any use trying to get into t7/t8? I know the plans are to give AA's for this, but until then we are supposed to just drop down several levels in our progression and wait? I rarely post because I usually think the developers are trying to make the game better. I'm sorry, but I strongly feel this is a huge mistake, especially prior to the AA's. I understand to a degree the developers wanting to nerf them a little (t6 makes more sense), but this is not a little nerf. Grouping up doesn't change the fact that my pet is not very useful. I was excited about the 3.0/3.5 epic, now I am not. This is a much bigger deal to me. I am just really disappointed and frustrated after spending so much time here and working hard to get to the next level, not even being able to do the content I have already done.

My thoughts exactly. Yes, t8 pets were super omg easy overpowered in every tier 1-7. But in T8 they were, well, lackluster. Now for those of us actually in T8, we are screwed and get to sit around on our thumbs until this new content is released. I love you guys, you do great work, but this should've never went live before fully tested and the new "content" was put in to compensate for such a nerf, assuming such content will even exist. I'm sorry, I'm just not in a very happy mood right now.

I know I'm going to love what is to come, you've worked very hard on it, and I too will work very hard to obtain the spoils of your work, but giving us this deal with no timetable on when things will change is a mild slap in the face :( I would've spent 8 hours a day on test server to prevent this going live and ruining everyone's content.

Sorry, I'll break it down to a mechanical viewpoint :)

t8 rk1 pets are OP for lower tiers. Everyone knows this, and the nerf that has been made in regard to the rk1 pets seems about what they should be, considering their tradeable status. However, throwing the same nerf (though very slightly scaled differently from the nerf to rk1) at the rk2/3 pets which were widely assumed as mediocre and somewhat subpar is an incorrect adjustment.

Class balance is very important to what Lillu/Vaion strive to achieve, we are merely pointing out mistakes in regards to the nerfs made to rk2/3 pets which have been more than halved in dps, when in all likelihood they should have received a somewhat small boost in DPS (before the changes, the difference in dps from rk1 and rk2 was about 100dps, which I wanted to cry irl about, lol). My main concern was that this was pushed onto the live server with no warning/testing done on the test server. As Khale and myself pointed out, had these changes been announced as being tested on the test server, players would have flocked in droves over there in order to test and perfect balance changes.

But this is all in the past. Only thing to do now is continue with the 'experiment' and correct the issues which have been brought up. Sorry if I came off as antagonistic to either of you, that was not my intention, it's just been especially frustrating for myself because my box is sk/cleric/necro, and 75% of my DPS has just poofed, with no warning, as a balance test on the live server = the root cause of my angst.

If the need for scaling down their DPS was to balance tiers 1-7, might I suggest making the spell no-drop or adjusting the pet focus augmentations / gear instead?

Quick and simple post as I'm getting ready for work...

As we have already said; there WILL be multiple uptic balances going in. Reducing them all at the same time allows us to slowly increase the pets to were we feel they should be. What I posted this morning was the *first* balance shift upwards. We are content with where the Rk I pets are at and are now focusing on the Rk II and III.

Additionally, understand that we do not balance content and/or classes off donors. The donation system (while widely used) is not designed to be part of the balancing equation for anything. So asking to reduce the gap between game-obtainable and donor is not going to go anywhere.

So a simple request for everyone to exhale and relax as we work out this adjustment phase. We read and take into account everything everyone says and posts.
Oh the fun you all are going to have in DSK3...
Simon says.. touch the green one! Nooooo BLIQUE NOT THE RED ONE! zomg you just got me "Vaion Touched"!
