Ok, again excuse my ignorance. 
Will this require a server restart or the next patch day to be fixed? I only ask because I tried and it still isn't working. Dismissed pet, camped out, relogged, resummoned and it gives the same message.

It will probably require a reboot. Some zones which are dynamic startup will have it in effect now, but some will not.
