I sympathise with your situation and this is why I do think porting players out is the best catch-all solution. That said, how many players in zone cause this for you? To phrase the question another way, what is the upper limit of players that still allows you to move and interact freely?

If a script is introduced and works to make this better for your experience, it'll be a win, but there is a limit to what can be done to help end users who are unfortunate enough to have a limited or inadequate connection.

I used to have a lot of problems zoning, for example. That was because I was only able to use limited mobile internet for a while. I now have a decent connection and zone fine. Zoning to the forest was worse but it's a hub and it's reasonable to expect a fair volume of players to be in the zone at peak times. So an afk script could potentially offer no solution to your issue.

It'll be good if it helped even a bit and I do think porting out is the best solution. At the same time there's a limit to how much can be done to help users with limited resources.

Not sure what the upper limit is, but the night the issue in question happened there were 79 players in zone. A great deal of them were in the guild <Shattered Destiny>, and today I again noticed a large number from this guild afk near CT dummy. The naming of names is not practiced with an accusing or condemning spirit, but rather to draw the attention of the players who have recently been aggravating the situation, that they might be made aware that they are causing others problems. Perhaps this can be solved by dialogue without the need for a script.

Yeh, 79 is high enough to be classified as overcrowded for some, particularly if there are a lot afk.

Lillu, curious if you ever settled on something for this.

As you know, Im hit and miss as a contestant :mrgreen: , but I can understand the situation. Awhile back, yall changed the zonin point to the cave for this sorta reason. Obviously guild hall isn't an option for unguilded folks, but guild lobby is. Bazaar is, but I saw the screenshot of stack of pcs in bazaar on porter fairy.

If there was any way to auto port people who went afk in the forest to pok, could work. Way better if you could random between a few spawn points, but I understand that may be out of bounds. But to me, Pok is best bet. It was always meant to be a meeting zone, and heck, now a days, since in live, your buff timers don't tick down, its the same as being in the guild hall.

Last idea... Have a couple of zones as safe zones to port people to.. nexus, pok, shadowhaven?, Plane of Tranquility? , Guild lobby... how bout a random act of portage to one of these places on a list that distributes folks around a hub?
