T8 Evolving items and augs

Don't know if its always been this way as I just broke into T8 and am working on HoH.

Bought a couple evolving weapons and have gotten them up to rank 3. Since the wiki said augs will not be lost on evolving, I went ahead and augged them at rank 1. When I hit rank 3 and it added the additional type 8 slot, it shifted my augs in these weapons to different slots than I'd put them.

My paladin ended up with a type 17/18 aug in a type 16 slot.

My zerk now has both type 8s filled with the 18 slot open vs the new type 8. The augs are valid for the type/slot they're in (since many 2h aug are 8/16/17/18) but its not where I'd put them.

Looking at the code, it appears that it's always been like this, there's no check to account for a change in aug slots. Will see if I can fix.

I believe previously when items evolved the augs were moved to the cursor as well as the item and you had to use the bird bath to put them back in. So the augs weren't lost but don't believe they stayed in the item.

That's kind of what I was expecting given the way the wiki described it.

It was changed around the time the aug pool was removed from HOH.

This happened to my HOH weapons when they evolved to the 3rd level. Bunch of DSK T7 augs went from slot 16 and slot 18 to slot 8 and 16 last night.

Lesson learned to not aug the weapons until they hit level 3.
