Pre-requirements.

To play on The Hidden Forest server, you will need one of the following (unpatched!) EverQuest clients. (if you were playing on another emu server that alters installation files, like P1999, you'll need a new and clean EverQuest client installation)

• EverQuest: Titanium Edition (T)
  
• EverQuest: Secrets of Faydwer (SoF)
  
• Everquest: Seeds of Destruction (SoD)
  
• Everquest: Underfoot (UF)
  

We FULLY support the above clients. Whatever we offer for an Underfoot client, you'll be able to experience the same under Titanium client. None left behind!

Installation.

1. Install the EverQuest client
Important: Don't let the client run the patcher, so install it, but DO NOT RUN IT YET. If you do, you'll have to reinstall it again IF the patcher already ran.

2. Update your client with THF custom files
Grab the up to date custom THF files:
- custom Spell file
- custom THF Installer
They can be found here (please keep them up to date, we'll always announce if a newer version is out)

3. Edit your EverQuest client shortcut, to prevent the client from patching
After you installed the program, a shortcut called "EverQuest" was placed on your desktop. Delete that!

Open up your file browser on your computer and find the directory you installed EverQuest into. Double click C:, then Program Files, then EverQuest. Find a file called eqgame.exe. Right click it, chose add shortcut. Take that new shortcut, right click on it, hit Properties and add a patchme at the end of the line so it reads like this:

You can now copy this file (the shortcut) to your Desktop for ease of use.

4. Create a THF or Eqemu account and edit your Eqhost.txt file accordingly

5. At this point, you are ready to play. Run the Shortcut you created! Note: You might have to run it as an Administrator (right click and choose "Run as administrator")
