THF File Switcher 3.0

Here's the latest version. This one will backup and switch both the Spell file and the Global file. Unlike eariler releases, this one does not launch your game, only switches the files. This one doesn't run in the system tray, and you don't have to set any settings. You just put it where the instructions tell you and run it. It's a small box with 2 buttons: one for switching and one for closing out the program. This version was designed to be fast and simple in just a few easy steps.

There are two versions, one for Titanium clients and one for SoF clients. Make sure you download the one that matches your client. Also, be sure to switch back to your default files before running this program, so that it doesn't back up your THF files thinking they are Default files.

To run this program, you need Visual C++ 2008 Runtime Library and .NET Framework 3.5 (Both downloadable for free from Microsoft.com).

Just thought I'd make it known that it seems none of the files are available here, since the forum migration.

I'd like to update my spell file but cannot as the file's not available here or via the file thread.

Hi, New here to THF.

I have been trolling this forum most the day reading up on what I will need to do in order to join everyone on the server.

I dont understand the file switching your talking about here. Before I get in trouble on installing correctly, could someone explain this a bit more in detail to me please

Emu servers use custom spell and global files. Every time THF has an update with spell changes or global graphic changes you need to download the latest file. This program does it for you in case you are not quite sure how to do it manually.

I am having issues now with my original install, I did it twice following the "read me" with the zip DL and using this switcher. I spoke to the NPC online and i do not see what shes saying I should see, I see a nakid fairie where she says its something else. I obviously am doing something wrong on putting these files in my folder.

got this one working,as instructions said, i dropped it in my resource folder and changed the default file to a new name, I see the baby dragon now.

the files instructions really dont say where to put it or what to change the name to, I stuck it in the resource folder with the global from the zip file and the NPCs weapon hasn`t seemed to change to me. It has an effect shimmering up and down it, but nothing I didnt see before. Is that shimmer the test answer?

Sorry to be such a newb, I can`t believe im having such a problem with a simple file.

download files

spell file is sitting in your EQ folder
remain the file in your eq folder into anything you like like spells-original.txt
now copy in the file you downlaoded

the global textures files located inside a folder Resources. do same thing as above.
