I don't think so. I've been doing Warrens runs until all my boxes were filled with stuff to sell/craft. Then I would start by doing the easiest recipe until I had no mats, then I would move to the next recipe. Finally, if I had enough mats for an item I would use, then I would do that, otherwise I would keep the mats and repeat from the beginning.

I play a shadowknight and I cycle my bot amongst a Shaman, Enchanter, Druid and Cleric (from most common to least). They all have dropped stuff, as far as I know, and no augments at all. Maybe I crafted some shield for enchanter, but not sure (I've got plenty of mats for smithing anyway).

At this moment, I'm not interested in any wooden item (since bots can't use clickies). I'm only interested in rising my tradeskill for the upcoming alt-p zone.

On another topic, I like this new system and it's the first time I've seen something alike (been afk from eq for a while). I understand it takes time to release content which isn't randomly designed, and the Warrens isn't just random quest npcs dropped here and there that you can see in other custom servers.

However, players usually have more free time than developers, and so I started thinking what would be a good way of spending this time. So I had some ideas you will probably dislike but I'm throwing out anyways just in case.

What about being able to trade levels or no-drop items for aa exp or leadership exp albeit at a low rate? This trade system would be removed/moved to the new zone once it is released, and removed once the final lvl 70 alt-p zone is introduced.

Again, just an idea. I don't want to change your vision of the alt-p system.

trading levels for aa exp would.....not impossible to do however exp on the alt p side of the coin is easy enough to come by and the mobs are tuned low enough that honestly when it comes down to grinding aas unless they tune the mobs up a bit or cut exp back in those zones youll see a lot of folks on alt p side running around with more aa's then norm p simply due to the fact that regardless of gear the bots used alone will simply slaughter the mobs into smithereens.

trading items for aa exp......not a bad idea. perhaps later on in the new hub area there might be a collectors quest. similar to the headhunter quest but instead of heads you collect weapons or armor peices and when you turn those in you get aa exp.

also chaos depending on your class sometimes using those training points for ts just isnt that attractive if youve got skills like mend of fd to raise. although they are there and its easy to get them im just ole school enough to not always wanna spend points on ts but rather save them for something i dont use or takes forever and a damn day to raise

well as I said before I have played 3 legit characters from level 1 in warrens to make sure things progress smoothly and completed all quests with each of them. (playing 4th one now ;) )

Overall the amount of TS parts drops is sufficient to make 2 items for your bot and 2 items for yourself, and fully augment your gear (augs for bots didn't existed back then). I didn't really have to farm - I just naturally progress, and by 20-25 I would have all the crafted items I need. So what I am saying is, if you want to make MORE items, cause you running more than 1 bot- you will have to farm up ;)

On spending skill points on crafting - well I guess monk is the only class who gets it a bit harder? but by 20 you will have 100 skill points, if you would spare 21 for smithing - most relevant skill as it makes most of the weapons (specially for monk if he goes with h2h), or to fletching - if you go with 2hb staff cause it procs Heal - you still have 80 points to burn on FD and Mend.

As far as alternative things go - like leadership and such - I will think on this, just nto right now, I want to finish up with Tier 2 ASAP, before Lillu fires me

or you will get a few things to kite in SB.. or rather they will kite you around the zone till you drop dead  Beware of the Ancients
SB is almost done- all the tech things are in, but Lillu backed out of helping me script quests, so I am doing all the scripting myself (before the deal was that i write up the dialogs and lore and he scripts  ). I have about 9 quest left to go ;)
