After taking some time to look at the leaderboard, and after observing the population and LDoN's since they released, it's extremely obvious that no one considers the hard LDoN's worth doing. You have everyone on the server, with the exception of the people who ran them with me ( the dinodeeps and lang people on the leaderboard ), and Andy(kermit/rhymes) doing easy ldons. You have zero people with even 70 hard wins.
Nobody does hard's, why is this? I'll list my opinions.
The easy's are literally too easy, I know they are designed to let tier 1 people complete them, but because of that they are literally no-brainers for any solo character with tier 2+ loot, and they really aren't worth doing for the people in tier 1 gear because of how long it would take them to complete, it isn't time effective for a tier 1 person to grind out ldon's, because if they invest that time in to progressing they can hit tier 3 in a few weeks, where as grinding ldons might get them 1-2 of the 1500 point items.
The hard's have risk to him, they are actually somewhat difficult, some pulls are 6-7 mobs, each hitting over 1k and some rampaging, you need a tank in defensive to take them on or a class to pacify / split / mez them.
There is no real incentive to do hard's, one could make the claim that you get a slightly better type 1 aug, but is it really worth the hassle for an extra 5ac or 25 hp on a type 1 augment when tanks are hitting 35k buffed? Fuck no.
The hard's can't be boxed by most people, sure the people who box an entire group can probably stumble through it, but it would take over an hour for any person outside of myself, and maybe fusion members who can 6 box to complete them in under a half hour. It's easier to just run one toon through an easy in 10 minutes and get 30 points than it is to stumble through a zone where you risk dying in for 75 points in an hour.
The risk v reward factor, I can do 12 easies in an hour no problem, that's 5 minutes per completion. which is 360 points, there's absolutely no way I could solo 5 hard's ( 12 minute completions ) in the same time, it's actually harder to get points via hard than it is easies.
My suggestions to remedy the situation.
Make new hard ldon augs ( don't simply change the old ones ) for the assassin missions which actually entice people to do them, aka 50ac augs, 300hp, 300 mana, 150hp/150mana augs. ( i realize this doesn't solve the collect, slaughter, rescue missions, but it at least gives you a reason to do the hard's at all )
Change the win from 75 points to 125 points. If people can run through hard's, they should get more points for their time than for easy's.
Possibly add as an uncommon drop to nameds, the loot that you purchase from the vendors, it would have to be rare enough that it wouldn't flood in, but a chance u could get an item to drop that you were otherwise planning on buying it's certainly attractive.
Not all of these would have to be implemented, just suggestions because if you aren't part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
These are simply my opinions and suggestions, but as someone who has run the most hard ldon and a fuckton of easy, I feel like I've got a good perspective. I encourage others with experience in both hard and easy ldon wins to weigh in on their feedback.
