I had the same problem regarding the SoD client in THV. But it happened without opening a vendor window. It mysteriously happened immediately after hitting my "buff me" hotkey for Sune the buff bot. It's a simple /target Sune /say buffs, heals, cure but it "locked" up my mouse and proceeded to start the odd effect of changing my movement keys to my mouse buttons. So if I clicked my right click, i'd start to run in the direction of the camera angle, and my normal movement keys (wasd) would only let me strafe, but wouldn't change the direction the camera was facing. I couldn't click any items (like gate clicky) and I couldn't get any NPCs to respond to hails (they would only turn to face me, but no dialogue). I could alt+tab to another window, and that client would behave normally.

Yep! I found that if you type /assist (transporter name) and then type hail, it will bring up the purple text. Then just type out what it says and will zone you... zoning fixed it for me.

I'll give that a shot next time if it happens. Simply targeting via my toggle closest npc key and hailing didn't work, but I'll try the /assist instead. Thanks!
