You're very wrong in your assumptions, though. I want you to take a look through all of the options available in LDoN for focii. Now take a look through the raid gear tier 5+. You'll notice there are fewer options available to a melee for a cold focus compared to LDoN.

And don't think for a second that I haven't considered my options available to me. LDoN is a large time sink that I don't have. I'm in the boat of players that prefers to raid and reap my rewards immediately. In this case, there should be more options available for a cold focus on a melee item. You're missing my point here Valsavis. I'm not concerned about the current focus on the item. I'm not the one who made the original post. I merely saw an opportunity to place a focus (that is much more needed for any melee/hybrid) over where one exists that is fairly useless. It may be a needed upgrade for myself, but if that's the case, it's an upgrade for many more.

Exactly, point being more options should be available for this stuff. People go on about not being forced to do ldons but if you have no other options to get your focus or..if the best items in the game come from ldons, thats pretty much forcing.

Many dont realize that some of the best items in game come from ldons . Some only trumped by items from CT himself. I thought powerful plate was to be my goal as a war but it seems if I did nothing but farm ldons I can get items and armor with better stats and focuses than that of high end raid drops. Traitor BP is as rare or more so than crimson orb and lower ac than ToV. Powerful BP is From xegony, and only better than ldons because it has two type 8 slots. Otherwise if you want best stuff in game gotta farm those ldons not high end raid content. If you dont believe me, put augs in those ldon items and compare them to auged high end raid items see which is better.

I realize many love ldons and thats great if they do. They deserve items and armor comparable to some raid encounters, but the majority of focuses and items being built by ldons BETTER than what you worked hard progressing to obtain is a bit much. Kelethin loops drop in poair, and I lovem, best ears/rings in game, but to make them so, you have to farm those ldon augs..

Edit: If Ldon's wouldnt yield the results its currently yielding, no raiders would be doing them. I like that Casuals and raiders can meet in LDoN. Notice the keyword - CAN!

And even a top end raider can get an upgrade for its armor. Its grinding out 100 adventures (or whatever amount) vs 1 raid. Keep that in mind.

Edit's Edit: Powerful Metal and Chain Wrists are very high on Dr. Bloodmoons wishlist after the next reload.

I see where your coming from. But in the case of the armor itself your still comparing apples and oranges. Of course we all want epic armor but the amount of progression a guild does to obtain it compared to a couple days of casual ldoning to obtain one armor item better than one that took a high end raider 40+ warder kills of farming to get one drop is a bit much. Im not saying ldoners are handed items simply because they do them, its the rarity of some raid items thats truely a bit out of whack.

No I have not reached my personal 40+ white warder kill but have killed plenty and almost every drop is dagger/shroud dagger/mask. Whole guild has every other drop from ST including some almost fully equiped bots in traiters armor(minus bp). When it finally does drop it will still be all that hard work for something not nearly as easily obtainable as the ldon bp with augs and lower ac than ldon and tov armor.
