I juggled with my gear to use the Tome of secrets in ToV tonight, btw, and except Vulak and Vyemm that resisted one malosinia each and a couple waves of tears of sun, every debuff/nuke went through like a hot knife through butter. Field testing > dummies.

that description was written by person who wrote the Alaclone 3 years ago =P

the SOE effects description reads as "Increase Effective Casting Level by 20 for the purpose of determining spell fizzle rate"

and any player who had this on LIVE from could tell you that this had no effect on resist rate (vs yellow/red con mobs) what so ever

I was an enchanter on live, and did some pretty extensive testing (much like what you did) to figure out that what chaosslayer says was true. But it's nice that it does work this way here Thanks for doing the work to prove it!

In my opinion, considering the rate of resists on this server, this effect is needed, whether it's in this spell form, or in another. The original Live version of this spell wasn't good enough, is what I'm trying to say, and this is a much needed upgrade.

Yea - its good to see that effect is of some use. An it has already been taking into account for the anniversary event!

Talking about that, I think I noticed a distinct lack of BoRness on the tome of swirling feathers, and an excess of dodginess *hint hint*

We just did Vulak again, it was a real pain, probably resisted half what I tossed at him, I stopped checking my hit window past 75%, I already had the long list of resisted debuffs to keep me company.

If BoR will only be reserved for very high level stuff, state it (reference to the "has already been taking into account for the anniversary event !", indeed)

It will not come back, but it has been replaced!

Now that i have another working effect that is good for casters, i divided this in tiers.

We will now have (level adjusted for resist calc in front)

05 - Brilliance of the Void
10 - Brilliance of Trakanon
15 - Brilliance of Chaos
20 - Brilliance of Order
25 - Brilliance of the Ancients

And this tome got Brilliance of Chaos.
