Shield of the sleeper: back slot possible?

Personally I find it more shocking that there is a real lack of high ac shields that tank classes are able to equip in the back slot. Somewhere fragile casters gained this ability to wear huge plates of steal on their back and tank classes are left with low ac options. Casters have a few options available giving high ac on a back slot but none that I have been able to find for tank classes.

You mean like 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 etc? I put a type 8 aug in my 1.5 and use it in my range on the warrior, and use the green shield in my back for 100 AC + stats. Tank classes - PAL/SK can use the epic(s) in the back slot, and iirc so can warriors with 2.0+

Granted the one warrior I remember seeing with the epic in his backslot was using donors in the weaponslots. These are magical shield Taladome, don't try to use real world physical restrictions here jeez, last time I checked the Dragon down the street didn't have any swords either.

My 1.5 is banked and yours will be too when you move up in tiers. Green shield? Again, great for non raid geared people. Real world physics? I was being sarcastic, point being that casters get some 130+ac back items that tanks(the classes that need ac) do not.

Shield of the Morning Dew (sec, back) has already 110 AC on it, and to be honest, priest / casters do not care anything about AC in this request - I do not ask that change to allow my cleric/druid/shaman/chanty or wiz to be able to tank....

OK so 1.5 is a bad example, can't even put that in your back slot anyhow - an obvious choice would be 2.0 which is 115 BASE AC, and 600 hp. With type 4, 8 and 30 augs and usable in the back slot. That being said it's still only one item, and a better one for the mainhand for you at your tier anyhow.

Casters also get some killer ratio weapons that they don't need, as well as 50% haste on some items, normal regen and +ATK etc etc etc. So I don't see why it's so shocking! I do agree there is no high AC items for the back slot, but there are plenty of good back slots in general.

May we get an upgrade of Cape of Flames in PoFire then otherwise, there is no upgrade T4 for backslot casters.
