Ranger vs Pally...just me, or is this normal?

Unfortunately I do not have any parses so can only relay my experience with description. I took a lvl 70 Pally to Oasis, no bot up, and engaged a spectre. Not a fearsome one, the other, somewhat weaker kind. Each time I got smacked down within seconds. This felt very odd since I have taken these down with no problems in the past with my 70 Ranger.

So I logged on my 70 ranger and I could kill a spec before it even got across the water to me with my bow. If I went on to the island and sent the bot in first, the bot had no problem tanking it while I pew-pew'ed it as well. I could kill a spec without me, or my bot, breaking a sweat at all. This is quite a difference to the almost insta-kill that happens with a same level Pally.

Gear wise, they are pretty close. Pally has fewer AA's, Ranger has about 150 or so. Pally has donator sword, donator shield and donator blue dragon belt. Rest of armor is only Chaotic at this point. Ranger has donator bow and the rest is chaotic, my pally bot on the ranger has two pieces of kael armor, the shield from seb and a lvl 70 spear with a lifetap proc I believe..

Should the experience between these two same level toons vs the same mob be this vastly different? Is this just a class thing, or do I maybe suck at playing a Pally?

As pally i had 0 problems with the Spectre in Oasis i assume that u range em as Ranger while u melee em though as Pally.
The problem with those Spectres is they have a 5k lifetap or something if you had Slay Undead on the Pally you woudnt had much problem with em.

Yes, I melee with my pally...what I find amusing is that my ranger's bot can go toe to toe with the spec for as long as the fight takes....my pally on the other hand, goes down after 5 or 6 seconds.

Pally bots have all AAs dont they? Wouldnt this be why?

Probably what happened was the spectre procced the 5k tap or whatever it is I've been hearing about on the Paladin, but didn't proc it on the ranger. What you are saying doesn't make any sense otherwise.

Those spectres were kicking some major ass. And when i write major, i mean really really major Fixed.
