Connection problem!

Well, I've switched to SoD in an attempt to somehow fix this problem and it's the same. I've been single boxing and still - every couple zones I lock up. I've been playing less and less because I want to enjoy myself and I can't when I have to constantly reload EQ!

No one in their entire box career has ever run into this problem?

no UI, but use WinEQ

The problem has been getting worse and worse for me when two boxing. If I alt tab out (I play in windowed) it usually will crash on zone or take FOREVER.. Another added bonus is it'll say Cannot Respond during a zone and if you click / hit a key the box will crash and you have to relog in.

Did you try to disable all sort of new models/textures/lighning etc? I'd shut everything down in graphics options, INGAME, too.

Then try a different VGA driver.

Then reinstall Windows.

I crash while not boxing and boxing... This is the ONLY server I have ever crashed like this. No crashes like this on EZ, VZTZ, PEQ, etc.

+1, and it's also only been happening for me since the last rev update. Maybe if we're lucky this new rev update will fix the problem.

I actually had a similar problem on SoA for a while - if that helps solve the mystery at all. Something changed it's not happening as much but still very frequently, my playstyle has changed though lol - I zone as little as possible.

I also never had a problem on VZ/TZ or a multitude of other servers I've played on. Everything is shut down in game Tyler, my game looks like a bag of smashed ... well nevermind the game looks bad lol. I tried updating the VGA driver (honestly not even sure what that means) and the site told me not to bother or something because I was using windows 7.

I can't reinstall windows until my other brother brings me the disc, I would gladly revert back to XP but my son finally destroyed that disc.

Don't bother formatting, I tried that already, I am also using Windows 7. But I was using Windows 7 while playing on the other servers also..

I have this issue frequently, but it only seems to be a problem when first loading into the server. Often, it happens on the last 2 of 6 accounts I log in. The first 4 typically load fine, and the other 2 crash back to login screen after character selection. The only times I seem to crash zoning is after a death, and is usually when all 6 toons die, and one or two of the accounts make it back to bind.

It's been more frequent recently, happening every time I log in. At least 2 of the 6 accounts will crash back to login every time I load up THF. I figured it was due to lag between the client and server, and it kicked back to login due to "timing out" or some such issue.

It improved for a couple weeks (not sure exactly the timeline) but whatever changed recently brought it back. Almost every single zone again!

I have this problem too.. CANT PLAY LONGER

Everytime zone have 50% crash....

See if you play LDoN... HOW?? Keep Crash and login again and again
