True Death vs Darkest Possession

This spell is a Plane of Air drop yet it is 100% obsolete to a 150 point LDoN spell (possibly 300 dont recall right now). True Death has 90 mana regen at the cost of 90 health, where Darkest Possession has 90 mana regen at the cost of 65 health. The only advantage True Death has is that it gains water breathing and werewolf illusion, of which id rather be a Skeleton or a Lich even (you know, something more necromancer like and less enchanter?). The water breathing is obviously obsolete due to the fact that almost everyone has a faerune helmet which grants water breathing permanently.

My proposal is to change true death to Lich illusion, 90mana/45health or preferably 120mana/65 health as the health portion is mildly irrelavent due to regen spells/gear it would be better to gain mana regeneration on it instead of another health reduction. Also to put it at the same health conversation as Darkest Possession would be good. Also bumping the duration to 1 hour like Darkest Possession couldn't hurt either. Obviously numbers can vary on what you see fit, however they do need to change imo.

New effect:

1 : Effect type : Illusion:Skeleton New
2 : Effect type : Increase Mana by 115 per tick (total 0)
4 : Effect type : Ultravision
5 : Effect type : See Invisible
7 : Effect type : Decrease Hitpoints by 50

1h duration.

Make suggestions on what exact Illusion you want on this (existing). We can work it out.

I'll agree somethin more necro is in order for the illusion. Skelly is ok but somethin new would be cool. I realize you probably wouldn't wanna use the animation for the epic pet since it's a donator item illusion. How about something like a zombie or a ghostly looking illusion.

So now my suggestions are being ignored in addition to my posts being randomly deleted?

Good to know.

Either way, thanks for finally getting around to changing this, even though it someone else to bring it up to get it done. We spoke about it before Tyler, but the Xi Vius form from the npcs in Vex Thal/Maiden's Eye would be a nice necro-looking illusion. Then again, i've always thought straight up Spectre illusion looked pretty cool too.

As a necro I was always fond of the Spectre illusion (found on this spell http://www.thehiddenforest.org/spell.php?id=1416) when it came to live. I always thought the spectre was badass for a necro. Would also change up just being a skeleton all the way through.

Aside from that I am not sure what a good custom model would be for a necro.

I agree w/ chaos that the shadow wouldn't be bad but thats also in use for the 1.5 and is a donator custom illusion so I am assuming that isn't likely to be a possibility would also be mildly redundant with the pet.

--- The Xi Vius model is pretty cool like hood suggested, though I am not sure of the ability to turn an NPC into an illusion if its not a pre-existing spell or not?

If the Spectre model is chosen, might I go ahead and preemptively suggest adding Levitate among the given effects? That would save up a spell slot for us Necros, in addition to fitting with the floating aspect of the model itself. :D

Lev would be annoying for anyone that boxes on a core spell like that, generally speaking lev tends to add to lag. I agree in concept and being able to remove a few extra buff slots that would be amazing, but at the same time having a forced permanent lev unless choosing to downgrade your conversion spell might be annoying for anyone that boxes in areas that usually end up a bit more higher on the visual lag aspect (like PoFire).

Yeah, and on second thought it might not be a good idea, as there are a lot of zones that currently don't allow Levitation in them. I have a feeling having a core conversion spell like this that causes levitation, and casting it in one of these said zones would cause the entire spell to not take hold, rather than just the specific levitation portion.

For the sake of coding, I'll just stick with my DMF.
