PoAir - avatar script.

We made our first attempt in Plane of Air last night, but ran into some problems spawning the Avatar of Wind. We cleared all the mobs on the island patch, but the event with mob waves woundlt trigger. When we moved up to Smoke script we got the trigger started fine and Avatar of Smoke spawned.

The day after we tried starting the wind script again, but noting happned. I talked to Mikuz, he informered me that there was a global cooldown on the script (2hours).

Is there any way the script cooldowns can also be instanced or a way to check if the script is up? Not sure i grasp the whole script issue but if say; i start farming the islands for Augs will it interfere with the script timers for other guilds trying to spawn Avatars?

if u hail the chancellor of xegony @ the front of the Castellan island he will be able to tell you what events are available and what events arent b/w the 4 avatars.

The chancellor said all Avatars were up. Mikuz comfirmed that she will only say it is down if you actually kill an Avatar and it hasent reset yet.

Ahh ok - i see what your saying now. misunderstood 8)

and yeah that is kind of annoying to clear an island when the script says its up and not have anything happen.

That has happened to us multiple times. Its very frustrating fo rit to say its up clear everything and have it not be.

We had that happen again tonight. We ran them all and they said they were up but Wind would not spawn. I finally ended up leaving so not sure if Tankz and rage were able to get it to spawn. Seems to be a big bug atm.

Avatars are contested between guilds on a four hour repop, as far as I know. The fairy at zone in is misleading because it says whether the Avatar is available or not, rather than if it's possible to spawn an Avatar or not. Even if a guild spawns an Avatar and wipes (making him poof) or waits too long (they will despawn after a while), the fairy will say the avatar is available, there's just no way to spawn it.

So, if someone is farming augs and clears the whole stormrider island, for example, the avatar of wind script will trigger if available. Even if the avatar isn't spawned by killing the priest of destruction. clawpikes, and such, the script will become unavailable for a while (I really think it's four hours, but Mikuz probably knows better than me! If Avatars are on a four hour repop and the script takes two hours to refresh, it would explain some things though! :D) If the fairy could say whether the event is available or not rather than if the avatar is dead or not it would be awesome.

The worst so far has been Dust for us, where quite often the script begins, but after the last Archwalker dies, the final spider before Dust doesn't pop (Windwalker or something).

That would be nice. A message saying that whichever avatar in question was available or had been engaged or was eliminated would be nice so we aren't spending so much time there killing to spawn a mob that doesn't spawn. Has been the bane of our existence repeatedly for the last few weeks

Absolutely especially with so many new guilds progressing into PoAir now - Either having already cleared it, or still working to key toons for Xegony, but either wya things are definately been getting contested in there to an extreme. (hell xegony died what? 4 or 5 times alone yesterday, never seen her get b*tch slapped that much lol.

Aye, tried clearing several islands without anything happening, same thing the morning after and the day after that. We are 2 for 12 on spawning triggers. Gonna take a while to get everyone keyed :p
