Class question

Okay, so I'm horrible with titles. This is actually more than just a class question, but the class question is the first question!

Anyway, I recently started playing on this server (Which is awesome. Perfect balance of difficulty and speed, from what I've seen so far.) Currently, I 3box. My main is a warrior, I use a cleric bot in group, and I box a bard and a shaman. I'm happy with 3boxing, for the most part. And my setup has allowed me to wander around on my own quite well (for the most part..I'm looking at you, nobles area in SolB..).
I've gotten to lvl 58 on the warrior, 57 on the other two, and the curiosity of whether or not I could pull off a 4box has popped into my head.

Not really sure if I *could* pull off 4, but if I can get my tiny monitor to fit 4 windows, I'll probably give it a try (/mourns the loss of his 22" monitor). However, I seem to be at an impasse of what to play. I'm not the biggest fan of casters, as evidenced by the fact I rarely remember to do anything on my shaman other than hit autoattack and slow/heal.
However, unsure how well I'd handle positioning 4 chars in melee, or even which would be the "best".

So, what would you guys recommend to round out a Warrior/Bard/Shaman/ Sort-of-Cleric group? I assume more DPS, as I'm not exactly loaded down with it.

And for the second question: I play on my days off from work, and only when I'm not really doing anything else. So, when I log on, I don't really tend to go much for grouping. I like running around where I want to go, afking when I want, etc. So, not really big on raiding, either.
Simple question for anyone who has progressed through everything. How far would this 3box combo be able to progress on my own? If I add in a fourth? I assume I can progress through at least some of the group stuff, considering 2healers, slows, and a tank (with possibly a new DPS). But, I'd like to know what to expect.

I apologize if this is the wrong place for the post, and for the Wall of Text (TM) on my first post. And thanks for any answers!

With the Shaman already in the group, i'll add a Wizard (since Shaman can Malo and reduce resist) and the Wizard just has a macro of nuke 1 , pause 30, nuke 1, pause 30 etc. So basically 1 button and you get quite a bit DPS.

Managing 3 melee would stress me too much.

The other option would be a Ranger and autofire. Then again, Endgame, Wizard DPS beats Ranger DPS.

p.s. welcome aboard!

if you really progress far you gonna need 2 healers to keep you alive , 1 shm isn't enought.

Well there are a couple things to consider.
First what do you want?
Second do you plan to be alone or group with others or guild?
The first part I cant help with, its a personal thing for you to think about.
The second part will give you an idea of what to use. If you want to just stay 4boxing with a bot you might consider a ranger for autofire dps. Class doesnt need much in terms of gear because with a decent bow and arrow you can stand outside of aoe range.
If you want another melee that can be ok semi afk dps you might consider a monk. Especially when you get them the TOV legs to click paci, a coth orb to fd around and coth the group and of course the TOV robe to click fade off agro.
A sos rogue is nice but you really want to be hitting backstab often to max dps and if you get a good weapon you might end up taking agro more then you like.
In terms of casters I just went with necro myself and love it.
When I remember to stand up and cast dots I am doing between 15k (really bad round) and 45k (good round) in damage a tick. Cant wait to get it better gear.

If you plan to group with others, play with a guild then you might want to wait off on a 4th and find out what would benefit the group/guild.
Good luck.

I'd recommend playing a cleric and making a rogue your bot. Bot rogues automatically move to the rear of the mob and auto backstab. Very nice afk dmg output.

Cleric bots ... nice, but player driven clerics are much more mana efficient and can take advantage of clickies, notably the mana gathering orb.

After that ... I can't help ya, I'm not a ranged dps player but the idea of a wizard or ranger make sense, maybe a mage or necro ... adding /pet attack to a macro isn't all that hard but I don't know how they rank overall in dps output etc..

Okay, in answer to what I want to do - No real answer here. I just play to have fun. I like having a game where things can go wrong, I can die, and just have fun with it. Tired of facerolling WoW.

Not really intending to raid or group much, if at all - As I said, only really play on my days off from work, if I play on those. That isn't to say I don't like to talk to people / won't help people out, merely that my focus tends to be on "solo" play. I like depending on myself to progress, rather than others.

Ultimately, if you gave me a goal, it'd just be to see what the hardest things I can take out completely on my own would be.

On boxes:
Had considered a ranger, but already having enough trouble finding more general melee weapons between a warrior and a bard. Having to find another two would drive me nuts.

Wizard, sounds alright to me. If it adds a decent amount of damage without me really having to pay any attention, fun.

On going with my own cleric + a roguebot, instead.. I'm unsure if I could manage this. I'm considering *trying* at least, but I'm not the greatest healer on earth. I do like the fact that if I lag, or click on the wrong window, the cleric bot tends to be decent enough with the heals. However, I also realize he is inefficient and at times slow to start healing (I often times have to cast a few heals on shaman to keep warrior alive before the bot decides to throw a Cheal out).

So, I guess the question is: Which combination would allow me to go the farthest in terms of "the most difficult thing I can 'solo'"? If I make a wizard, am I screwing myself? If I make a cleric, will I be able to do ..a quick check tells me Kael seems to be the last group zone. So, kael?
Without raiding for gear, I have doubts I'll ever be taking out any low tier raid mobs on my own, which I understand. So maybe some day, when I have a bit more free time, I might try to raid. But for now, I'm just enjoying the starter process of getting through the group stuff.

Thanks for the answers, guys.

When I first started I played War Clr Mnk and with a buddy that played a rogue we were able to farm Wtov and Etov to make our armor.
So take heart in the fact that you will be able to get to that least that tier of gear while playing casual.
Also if you take the time to get emp key a lot of the players will kill Emp for you to get flagged to Tov or you can pick up some vulak tokens pretty cheap.

Ill have to side with the cleric pc and rogue bot. Contrary to this, I perosally use a ranger bot melee, but am just getting used to, and hotkeys set, to use her as ranged. Currently ranger girlbot thinks she is an offtank, and heal/blasts herself out og mana regularly. But she is my super-model ranger girl, and she is part of my war/cleric combo(have ranger on 3rd ls now so rangr too)Some of the caster bots might not be too bad to check out also I guess.
