So I have a problem with my PS3. I moved a few months back from one side of the country to the other and mailed the PS3 and during shipment the package was damaged.
The system works fine expect for one small issue, can not eject the disc, can not insert new discs.
I spent hours watching videos on youtube and reading garbage people have posted.
Wondering if anyone has taken apart the blu ray drive before that I could chat with.

Try something first.
Take a blow dryer on med-high heat let it blow into the side of the PS3 for about min or so. Sometimes this helps in a lot of issues and specially this one. What happens is that a wire comes off or breaks loose and by blowing the hot air in heats the board up so the wire can reconnect. I thought it was stupid at first but 2 PS3's and it has worked far, One with blueray wouldnt play games or movies and one with prob powering up.

Ive already taken it apart and inspected wires.
The issue now is the inner most slide is in the wrong position and I for the life of me can not figure out how to remove it to put it back into position.
