Pally>Sk???

Now I know I am a bit new to this server but I have seen some parses that show pallys out DPSing SKs? I always thought that and two knights were like two sides of the same coin. Sks got higher DPS and Pallys got higher Hp and AC. I have a 70 Sk with a donator and almost all of my def AA's done and I still cant stand up to most mobs in the game. The only way I can is loading up 4 life taps and my dot tap. That is it self would not bother me so much if I did not see pallys not only live though fights (That I expect because of them being pallys) but kill mob faster than me. I feel like the Sks have been forgotten. I kind of wish I did not get the donator. If I am being stupid PLEASE clue me in on what im doing wrong. I had a vary successful Sk on live and may you need to play the Sks in a different way. Thanks.

Whats parses you mean ? I assume you mean older parses that are on the forum or which ? If so you coudn't compare those cause not all parses where done with equally geared chars.

As a Paladin i doubt i can out dmg a equally geared SK besides vs Undeads and than maybe in some AE Situations.
And honestly i don't realy care about my DPS unless it would come to fight vs Undeads and from what i can say SK endgame wise are doing just fine.

In regards of survivability Knights have access to clickies here that we wouldn't have on live speak Def click first one avaible on the Kael SK/Pal Gloves.

Find some of the SK in game and talk to them. I have seen a few of them go solo things that I would want to bring a cleric and use a disc on just to feel safe.
If your having issues either you need to get a baseline of gear or you have crud aa and need to work on it.
Do not be discouraged, just grind a bit and shortly you will be a killing machine.

As for comparing the two classes, neither of which I play, would require parses to review.

as nexor stated it, both pally and sk are pretty boss with some gear.
i play an sk and nexor plays a pally and i'm relatively certain we can survive most situations equally.
as for knight dps it's so low there's really no reason to even take it into consideration. at least in my opinion

one of my boxes is a decently geared pal, urahara. argo and nexor are spot on, i just wanted to add that its beneficial to have both pal's and sk's at a raid. each have unique abilities that add alot.

hehe gear was my issue I just fell in that huge 70 to Tier 1 gap. Got some ToV armor nd now im out tanking my buddies war! thanks for putting up with newbies like me

keep in mind that a tank w/o all the def AA and no lifetap procc weapon can't tank anything past t1 here
SK are pretty cool , you will enjoy that class

why are there ??? in the title, please replace with !!! They are called SHADOW knights because they are a mere shadow of the glorious paladin!

both classes do pretty well here and play about the same. I don't have access to the class numbers but it seems like there are way more SKs running around.

I think there is a little more SK yes , but the 2 top knight on this serv are paladins .


I create a SK 4day ago , love it so far , but men those DPS are just horrible , it's not even dps it's DPH

1h is for the pull/set. Once you are stable, get out the 2h and death march.
