While it might be true that other stuff you fight give some better augs, that doesn't mean these should be boosted. You need to keep in mind that while SSRA named are a bit easier, and drop better augs, theirs also the chance that they will drop nothing at all. Also, they only drop 1 item at a time. The epic mobs on the other hand will always drop 6 epic 1.5 pieces, as well as 2 augments, guaranteed. See my point?

They only drop 1. And it's more or less crap, may as well make it lower chance of dropping and better, than never used.

Even the underbulks are dropping better augs at an alarming high rate, http://thehiddenforest.dyndns.org/npc.php?id=157028, have more HP, too, and respawn a whole lot faster than the namers for epics. These don't compare to ssra basement augs, but still...

The named in ssra basement are 50% chance of 1 of a small handful of REALLY good augs: http://thehiddenforest.dyndns.org/npc.php?id=162156, and the mobs that drop it have 1/3rd the HP, respawn faster, even if it's only a ~15% chance of it spawning, it's only 12 minutes, and there's quite a few named skeletons in the basement you can cycle at the same time, increasing % chance of getting the better augs. I mean, I see you're still wearing ssra augs in a few places, with tier 3 sleepers gear being farmed, makes the augs of ssra basement seem a bit too good. :)

That's my opinion, at least.

Tbh, I didn't get rid of my 1.5 augs until we broke into ST. Until you reach tier 2, ssra/1.5 augs are the best you can get. (or were, i haven't looked in FG yet so maybe there are better there)

you also gotta look at the fact that the game back then during the time of 1.5s. those were some of the best augs around.

heck i still use them and our guild is in ToV. and i have spent countless hours farming in ssra for augs and got most of them now but if you asked me last month how many i had i would have told you very few.

The augs which drop in chardok off the nameds are far superior to the 1.5 augs, and the nameds there are much less difficult (slowable, dont hit as hard, etc.) Plus they respawn fairly quickly (though they don't always have a chance of dropping, they are common.) I can even solo these nameds on my enchanter :)

Though, I only mentioned a MINOR boost. I didn't say a lot. Sorry I didn't realize it was a big deal, between my 4 boxing, and 2 friends, nobody looted a coulpe of those augs because of lack of AC and my resists are capped anyways, so for rog/war/brd it's essentially 85 hp 85 end for rune of the unicorn, emblem isn't too bad with 10 ac 85 hp, stone is base stats +5 and 85hp/mana/end, which if i'm not mistaken my base stats are
capped just with gear too, crystal has avoidance but I am unsure that even stacks with other avoidance augs, and 85hp/mana/end.

ancient crystal isn't too bad with 35 ATK for a dmg dealer,
stone 5 pt DS isn't worth the lack of AC on a tank, not sure who would want 5 pt DS I could be wrong though, sphere has 40% haste and so does virtually all back/belts in the server, 70+ hehe,

cookie has 6 mana regen that's decent for a caster if they aren't hitting cap

So even if it's 100% drop rate, most rotted.

reminds me gydile, I need to go farm chardok :)
Most of what I say here are just my observations, I'm not really "suggesting" these things as definite changes, they're most just things I've noticed, and wanted to take a quick note about.

If GM's feel it is best to leave alone, I'm all for that. But as I walk through the forest and see anything that catches my eye, I'll note, and maybe suggest, but I never expect anything to come from it.

I only went into detail to help emphasize why I thought the way I did. Please don't take offense, I wasn't attacking anyone, or saying DO IT THIS WAY, i'm merely stating an opinion and supporting it with where my logic comes from.

In most cases, feel free to IGNORE MY RAMBLING. That's all i'm really doing here. Rambling about things I notice.

The "minions" of Aerin'Dar attack you if you get too close to them, but you can't target them.. So, they just sort of kill you without you being able to fight back. hmmm.

minions should be non-kos. Tyler will fix it. (or me later if he slacks)
they depop during the script and basically just placeholders for the spawning kos versions.

When you talk to Elorell and give the stones, "mystical" is mispelled "mistical" when you are teleporting there.

http://thehiddenforest.dyndns.org/item.php?id=3683 are not BRD usable, yet they're virtually every other melee usable, even monk! :/

I'm game for some hardcore chardok wiping if you want :P I'm pretty sure with your boxes and my DC pet we'd pwn the entire zone. (AE Mez FTW!) Maybe not get such great loot, but it'd be a heck of a lot of fun! I love chardok "raids." Chanters get pushed to their limits there :P
