did #bot archery , Put it into ranged mode than dod #bot group attack on a target and he stood there no attack, even when u move away he wont follow u anymore.

Had Bow equipped and 1 arrow in ammo slot.

Do the same but go meleeing with the mob, the bot should start sending arrows at your target. Dunno why but it worked for me when i tested bot archery.

Bots also don't have any minimum distance from target to use their bow, unlike players

tryed that bot just stand/sits there still wont fire bow has arrow /bow and all commands are as we have been told to do . it will turn to face the mob if you have its back to it but no fire .

it doesn't work on dummies you have to do it on live mobs

Anyone have any success with #bot group attack working in combination with ranger bot archery? This command used to work, but it no longer seems to. I am required to put my bot on guard, walk up and melee the mob, then back out and start bowing myself in order to get my bot using its archery.

This is highly annoying for a ranger who is exclusively using their bow, used to be able to sit back, start your autofire, start your bots attack, and both be back bowing from safety of rampages etc instead of having to run in and melee.

Nevermind, tested further and got a heads up from someone.

A player must be meleeing the mob before the bot will begin its archery, that player does not have to be the bot owner (ie if you are a ranger that bows using a ranger bot to bow, if the tank you are grouped with is meleeing then your ranger bot should work with #bot group attack)

i find the best way to manage the rng bot - which i love and hate at the same time - is an aggressive use of #bot group guard. useing that and having his archery set, usualy works well for me, just always planting the bot back a ways then running in and using bot attack so hes assisting me.

another thing you can do to get your ranger to start using his bow is cast a nuke on the mob and he will start attacking it once someone does dmg to it. He wont attack with bow if no one else has engaged or done any dmg to the mob.

The ranger bot frustrates me as I can not get it to work. I know its possible, I know I'm just jacking it up but man it annoys me.
So I made PedoBear the warrior bot to frustrate me instead. Easier to gear and does something new and terribad for me every pull.

i have been having great GREAT success with mine. He is my favorite out of all the ones i have tried. If you want i could try to help you with any issues you are having with yours. It took me a while i get mine figured out but i have him geared and all figured out and omg he is a dps machine when in #archery mode. Plus he takes no rampage dmg so i can focus on healing my tank.
