I saw an emp weapon link today and while the proc was really great, the dmg/delay surprised me. If emp is going to be as hard as we have been being told, he should drop better ratio weaps *or* the weapons from the easier bosses need to be nerfed. The weapon i saw from emp was barely better than the other weaps ratio wise..

This is supposed to be Tier 1 loot, jeido, not end game.. if they give us huge upgrades all the time, the game will really get thrown out of balance.

I am aware of this Snow, but do you want to wipe many times over only to get loot that is barely even an upgrade? I know I don't. This is why I said either NERF old loot, or upgrade his.

I'm saying that, for example, jumping from an 18/20 weapon with hate proc in guk, to a 25/18 weapon in seb was way off balanced. going from seb to ssra.. the weapons are a big upgrade, but tbh, if we start getting tons of weapons that are overpowered, that makes Tyler and Lillu scale mobs that much higher, resulting in mass whining. I for one think that weapons all around should be lowered to meet risk vs reward. Maybe Jeido is right, maybe Emp should be super weapons.. However, where does that leave scaling when thinking of ToV weaponry?

I know lots will hate this idea, but I think maybe a full revamp (Nerf) of items is needed to bring things into prospective.

You are right - and the 25/18 weapon has already been nerfed ;)

It's tough to scale items around different zones. Nerfings happen all the time, most of the time you guys won't even notice. But to be blunt, this is a beta server and we reserve the right to change this around.

We learn with every zone that we revamp, every item that is created and every quest that is set in place. Everything needs to be fine or risk vs reward will be out of whack.

Epic 1.5 was a huge step in power, Emp will hold 1 weapon and 1 aug thats greater in raw power as this is basically Trak x 3 in difficulty. (And you casters and priests are not forgotten!).

Emperor was and is a special mob in EQ history, so he will give out the goddies.

NTOV on the other hand will hold so much loot that will be harder to get. Its always like that - you gear up in one zone to be able to beat the next to be able to ... you get the idea.

I always liked that approach more than collect 10 Lucid Shards or collect a VP key on rare spawns with rare drops.

Since we always ask for input, every input is valuable to us because it helps us create an enjoyable gaming experience. And who knows, i might even login with an alt and experience the content we created myself someday ;)

You guys are doing a great job, Tyler. I think that working for items is key to fun. There are some how enjoy instant 70, summon item servers... that's not for those of us who enjoy this server.

Currently, we have been doing well with the Rhag cycle, High Priest, and The Creator. We have to date, only beaten Cursed Cycle one time. To me, that says that Ssra is a huge success in scaling. If a zone is to easy, It's going to be beaten in a matter of days. Ssratemple, to me, points at a well designed raid zone. It has different loot tables on targets, and there is no guarentee that we will beat any given target at any given time. Once a raid mob has become trivialized, what fun is there?

I know for one, I am very much happy with how you guys are doing tiers for raiding. Some servers throw together a zone with tons of trash and one or two raid targets ( Podisease on a certain server come to mind?) Giving a big selection of targets, like you are doing is sure to make the population happy.

And on a final note, Can you change Jeido's title from Jeido the Fierce, to Jeido the AFK? Seems fitting~
