Thunder of Ice

I have 2 vampiric fire focus effects and they work fine with my star strike spell but not thunder of ice.

I see thunder of ice is for all pure casters but mages don't have ice DD spells, only fire and magic. Can vampiric fire be changed to include this or a separate fire DD be made for mages?

Considering focus items of the same resist type don't stack that im aware of is it safe to assume that finding an Ice Focus (e.g Vampiric Frost) would be more suitable than creating something like a fire focus that effects ice. It just seems to go against principle.

Still, it's an Ice DD and mages don't use ice. It's not even in the list of DDs when I right click an empty spell slot. Change to fire perhaps?

I see it has nothing to do with focus that clears it up a bit, sorry got derailed by the focus mentioned in the first post.

So the real issue is that Magicians dont get the convenience of the right click / fast mem method with Ice based dd's but can use old school mem method and use the spell if memmed that way ?.

Thanks will work on getting it changed to something more convenient for Magicians.

I'm sorry I should have been clearer. I thought the spell should be fire or magic based.

Its an ice based spell and i created it to give the master of elements the access to ALL elements (fire, ice, magic). This was wanted by the community. Several ice based focii are made available for mages.

So i really don't understand why Thunder of Ice would use a Fire based focus.

All working as intended.
