high end dps balancing berzerkers

I see Tyler balanced out the dps for the middle tears... he probably should have started balanceing at the highest end rather then the middle.. as is zerkers dps is maxed at that mid tear, then severely passed by all other pure dps classes in the highest tear.. melee dps should be head and shoulders above ranged dps simply for the fact that melee have to deal with many stuns/knockbacks/rampage/fear effects whereas ranged can simply outrange these mechanics and get full dps potential at all times.. as is my insanely geared berzerker with donator, cant even hold a candle to my moderately geared ranger with donator bow. Wizards blow zerkers right out of the water in the dps game.. even rogues beat berzerkers, while taking the short end of the stick too... berzerker has next to zero utility and dps is there only option. Its really hard to justify playing a berzerker if their only use can be severely beaten by almost any other dps class.. berzerkers need some serious loving at the high end......

If you are talking about ranged as in rangers then maybe you should look at the range on those bows and arrows.
Can "out range" some aspects but not all and not always.

As for zerker dps sucking, yes it does.

Posting some good parses that include gear, disciplines, and buffs would help. Make sure to parse with max dps disc and without. The more hard numbers you can provide the more help it is.

berzerker:7885 dps over 120s max hit 3504... same as before aura of mighty..where is 5% increase?
Ranger: 5672dps over 120s max hit 6084
Warrior:5940dps over 120s max hit 1132.. flurry spam

Same buffs with discs:

Berzerker Donator Clicky:8160dps over 120s max hit 4380 does not stack with anything
Cry Havoc:7405dps over 60s max hit 3504.. have this ability on zerker only DSK item it overwrites ToV legs clicky and therefore lowers my overall dps.....im thinking this is broken
Epic 2.0 clicky: 8200dps over 60s max hit 3504 also doesnt stack with Cry Havoc.
Cold Rage 4:8375dps over 120s max hit 4556 does not stack with other discs..1:30duration
Blind Rage: 12054dps over 60s max hit 7011... only lasts 50s around 30 min cooldown
Donator clicky+aa disc untamed rage: 9189dps max hit 4380
Blind Rage+2.0 clicky:12927dps max hit 7011.. only lasts 50s around 30 min cooldown


Ranger Trueshot aura: 11300dps over 120s.. lasts around 3 min

did another parse with an equally geared ranger named Raydar: same buffs

Fear ring clicky/epic 2.0 clicky over 120s ... 11k dps with procs max hit 8824.. would be much higher with trueshot..

No one will give me any wizard parses in fear of being nerfed lol but i am assured that wizard damage is godly.. with insta click mana bracer donator item they dont go OOM either..


The small amount of dps the berzerker has over the ranger isnt enough...and look at the warriors dps lol thats just with a 2.0 and a DSK offhand weapon auged for ac....the warrior and ranger parses do not have procs... cannot see others non melee damage...
all parses were done on vlad in the guild hall from behind him.

if these were done on any fight in VP/fear/DSK the ranger would win every single time due to outrageous aoe stuns/knockbacks...

I also noticed my berzerkers attack is capped at around 1700 rangers 1900 warrior 1800/ 2000 buffed on zerker 2700 buffed on ranger..

also keep in mind that the quality of gear on my berzerker is far greater then the gear that is on my ranger..

Not every ranger uses the donar bow. Good percent of the rangers played as someones main do and a small - medium number of alts. For the rest of us the range limits what you can avoid.

Wonder where Heim is, He once posted a ton of info on zerkers and was about 99percent ignored. This would be a great time for him to resupply all his parses.

Unfortunately heim MIAed months ago. But there is a severe disparity here considering the ONLY thing zerkers can do is melee. Considering the utility monks and rogues bring. Id love to see comparison Parses of ghulak vs felibar or my monk. I think that would really shed some light on this issue. As for heims notes i have a copy in my inbox ill clean up and post it was very well thought out and adressed the myriad of problems with zerkers on this server. On my phone so ill do it in the morn if im not too hungovr. Good post ghulak hopefully your class can get some attention.
