Bront said it best, Vaion really did an awesome job with this zone. Kudos to all the Devs and the work they put in (and put up with :D ).

Kind of funny how the first post kind of sounds cocky as all hell and the latest patch msg is
"Fixed bug in Xeru's event. Players will now longer be able to cast multiple Chains of Reflection on him in his weakened form. This was allowing guilds to do massive amounts of damage to him in little time."

Hmmm "as intended" eh?

Either way grats as dead mob is dead mob.

Before this thread gets out of hand, the change was not because any guild exploited the event. I cannot anticipate every variance or strategy that guilds will try against my events. The fact is that no one thought this was a bug or error and was how the script was suppose to be played, however when they could not reproduce the same sequence of events it was brought to my attention where I discovered the error.

So no one cheated, both Play better and Shattered did an amazing job on completing DS while giving me feedback and reporting bugs.
Oh the fun you all are going to have in DSK3...

If one were to re-read the first post, they might recall the "dreadspire as a whole" comment, that means more than just the Xeru event.

I dunno, but the whole congratulating your guild in front of everyone has always rubbed me the wrong way. I've always kept the self-congratulations to my own guild section (on SoA when I ran The Pwny Express), or in /tell , or use /guildmotd or even /guild, as I felt doing it publicly is basically saying: "Look how awesome we are server, neener neener, we did it and you all haven't." Kinda equivalent to showing off. Same goes for when people either self-congratulate themselves or congratulate a member of their guild in /ooc in front of everyone for server firsts when a /tell or /guild would suffice(not saying you guys did this, just what I've seen in the past on other servers and even this one). Everybody is going to see you've cleared Dreadspire as per the Guild Leaderboard anyway so why announce it? I'm not trying to start a flame or anything. I just never really understood I guess. And anytime I've seen a person make a topic like this or do the /ooc Grats my guild for doing such and such, they ALWAYS get negative replies or get flamed in one way or another.
/novel off ;)

But gotta give props where props are due and grats on clearing DS you guys :). I expect a full write up on the zone asap. Sharing is caring ;).

Too much to quote but i see your point, if i had been sober enough to think of that it might have been a different topic, but since i was not, and this was in response to another anonymous post, it is what it is. Thanks for the feedback.

Do apologize if we came across as cocky, truly not our intentions.

However, it was definitely more of a cathartic post. Finally being finished with that zone after all the constant bug fixes, working with the devs to get the bosses working as intended, and finally seeing ourselves through Vaion's twisted soul came as quite a relief.

I'm happy knowing we're through with it and looking forward to tier 8.

And as for a guide, learning was half the fun my friends
