Yes, i had created him while the agro was broken so life was grand as my little hobbit back stabbed like the crazy little hobbit he was...but then it was fixed and he was now tanking instead of me.

I have since switched and fully geared a war bot and he is great dps with nice weapons and tanks very well. The pet is useless at lvl 70 it is just a speedbump to mobs, it dies to 1-2 rampages and if you try to heal it then your tank will die so best just to not summon it at 70. Was great for lvling up though.

As a Shadowknight kind of interesting to see that i cant keep aggro on 1 bot rogue.
compared to a group. My shadowknight is pretty good geared, i'm using aweapon with 2x hate augs, plus weapon proc, and shield hate bash, and my self buff for upping my threath by about 15%, and still having a hard time holding aggro off of rogue bot.

so trying to add some augs we can equip these rogues to lower threath would be kind if nice or just rogue bot general try to change there bot aggro or something lol.

Id be really curious to know if anyone is having more success in this area.

I have dual hate augs 2.0 and pearl of hate equipped. (every hate item i can acquire atm)

I can not for a single moment keep aggro from my bot spamming flurry, taunt and throwing in cloak of cumbustion and tov legs when i can.

Since I can pull aggro off the best player equipped rogues I should be able to do the same with my bot.

So if anyone else is not having this issue, could you pls let us know of your tactic?

P.S. I know i can guard him and send to attack but if im fighting multiple targets and specifically ones that have any sort of ae the bot will attack them before i can do anything. Doesnt seem unreasonable that I should be able to switch to that target and steal aggro back with some work.

I use to have only slight issues controlling agro on either my paladin bot or my warrior bot.
Now however I can not keep agro off them at all for any reason.
Kind of crazy since I just went from max KoL augs to a equal mix of hate/kol.
I know the bot code is a real pain in the ass but if there was any way to scale back their agro it would be much appreciated.

I think the problem may lie in an old EQEmu skill attack bug. I used monks for ages on EQEmu because their skill attacks were doing absurd dps and oddly generating absurd aggro to go along with it.

When I used to play on the bot dev server I would often spawn a raid full of monks since they did crazy dps naked and out of the box.

From what I was hearing from players, the skill attack re-balance may have recently gone in for players, but perhaps not bots.

Currently I have a bot monk in my group with one 27/19 cinder jolt proccing weapon and a naked offhand.

He is outaggroing my Warrior who is duel wielding 46/20 and 44/19 weapons and using aggro discs.

I think it's reasonably safe to assume aggro is actually broken.

He can win aggro if I don't engage him til 80% too.

If I could get access to a full AA Warrior on test and various piles of weapons I could do a more comprehensive test I imagine.

Any more thought given to this subject?

Even now with donor and waiting to get the mob to 70% the bot will eventually take aggro again and ultimately die which is a huge loss considering that I cannot summon him again while in battle.

I spent a lot of time to gear my rogue bot and would hate to scrap him but hes more or less useless right now.

thanks in advance.

Again, if anyone else is having an easier time of it please let me know.

I do not use my bots much these days but I no longer have any agro issues. I just bot guard until 80 then use the follow + attack bot commands.

New bot agro changes are fantastic!

Our warrior can hold agro off my ldon/tov geared monk bot and, if the monk bot peels agro from tank laziness the warrior is able to get agro back again.

I hold bot until about 95% now, used to hold until 80%.

Great change, gonna try rogue bot soon =P

I'll throw in my 2c worth of noticing here. I recently spawned a monk bot because I had some extra mnk/bst weapons lying around and wanted to test their dps. Now, i'm far from a hate generating machine as a bst unless I REALLY want to be, but even a naked and weaponless monk bot would steal aggro in under 5 seconds every time it attacked. (Literally, timed it.) At first, I thought it was a bugged bot and remade it, but came out with similar results with the new bot. As it is right now i've been feeding her my castoff gear in hopes of making a tanky melee dps in the future, but the bot is unusable in it's current incarnation.

From the dps tests, and using the bot for a bit, I highly suspect an issue like a previous poster suggested is happening in that the monk skills are drawing more aggro than the damage they apply. This is the only thing that would make sense as the weapons, or lack thereof, don't seem to change the amount of aggro the bot produces. I have no problems with the rogue bot or ranger bots, on the other hand, unless i'm not paying the mob their attacking attention.

Go figure. :?
