bot aggro since revamp has been broken. They generate way too much aggro. I have heard many issues from people who are in full demiplane gear as a tank not able to hold aggro of their bots. Its clearly a broken mechanic since server revamp. THanks!

Now i have to build agro before i can engage bots into fight to prevent them from overagro my tank. And i do think that is "logic".

i think your trying to argue that building aggro on boss before engaging a bot is a good thing. And is logical, Well i dont engage my bot until about 75 percent health of a teir 7 boss and it pulls aggro and dies at about 50 percent. And thats even with the letter of forgotten memories type 4 concussion aug lol. Its common knowledge at this point that bot aggro is a bit too high atm. Just bringing it to the forums so the gms can see.

i do not try to: i do argue.
Bots are robots and will never have a player brain, they use all their abilities with no common sense (and are maxed aa's).
if you are talking about non specific agro abilities bot BUT only rogues & other dps bots then try to switch for lower tier weapons and continue using concussion effect augs.

Also my answer is not done to avoid your point in regards with devs action, it is just to let devs & you know that one player can have another approach than yours with bot agro and succed where you seem to fail. No flame, just facts.

Can you guys elaborate on which bot class is having the most problems with aggro? I would assume rogue, but just want to make sure.

Okay here is the update:

Test server will be updated either later today or tomorrow with a fix for bot aggro. Watch for the update on the main forum page for when the changes will be live on test server.

The new calculations are as follows:

1. All Melee bots will now generate 1/2 of the aggro they previously did.
2. Rogue bots will follow rule #1 and will generate 1/4 of the aggro from backstabs. So they will essentially generate 3/4 of the aggro they did before from a successful backstab.

I have tested this on my own test server and with T6 geared warrior/Donator weapons, it was still difficult to keep aggro (had to buy weapon affinity AA's to make sure i proced hate enough) but not impossible. Within a 10 minute test, rogue bot (T6 gear/Donator weapons) drew aggro 3 times within the first 2 minutes and 1-2 taunts gave aggro back to warrior, and the next highest for drawing aggro was a monk bot (T6 Geared/Donator weapons), who drew aggro 4 times within first 2 minutes and it took 3-4 taunts to get aggro back on warrior. After about 2-3 minutes into the fight, my warrior had proced enough hate to maintain aggro over bots.

Also as a side note, bots should no longer have a # after their name with the test server update.

Please, log on to the test server and leave feedback.

This is outstanding news. Something I have been hoping would be addressed for quite some time. Thank you Vaion, you are the best.

Is this working on test yet? I logged in over there but have not noticed a huge difference yet.

Sounds like a good fix but I think all those agro issues are people not using bots to the fullest.
I use to have agro issues then I figured out I just sucked at using my bots and now I have no agro issues with my bots, rogue or warrior.

Small fix to the bot aggro calculations for rule #1:

Warrior, Shadowknight and Paladin bots will not be affected by this anymore. All other classes will.
