Gone a while thinking of returning / question...

Post#1 » Mon Apr 04, 2011 6:40 pm

Been quite a while since Ive played was curious how the class balance was these days? I know back when I was playing previously melee were obviously king still with a lot of effort going into casters to try and bring them in line for dps etc. Did casters ever catch up or are melee still king when push comes to shove from a min/max standpoint?

Also has the strength in groups changed for a 6box type setup? Used to run Warrior/Bard/Cleric/Necro/Shm/Ranger -- Anything stronger these days or that still up there?

Rangers are being tweaked. their dps hasnt been the same since the big patch. Not sure how necros do. I've never seen one =P But id say Wizards are the King of dps atm with right gear =)

I pick my dps based on its AFK competence, because I'm lazy heh.

Mostly I can just click my monk and rogue and press 2 to FK or Backstab accordingly.

Anyone know if there's a text command for Combat Abilities (the modern disc window thingy)? I'd love to make the perfect Assist key for my rogue where she's like, doability 1 sneak (incase she gets moved) doability 2 hide, use the backstab power up disc, assist, then backstab.

I don't think it's possible sadly :(

Might be something lazy you can do with a laptop and an autofire prog for lazy wiz dps...but not sure what THFs view on that kinda play is.

Edit: Oh btw some guy mentioned somewhere round here the other day, the value of all Ranger bow dps. Not having to manage rampage or enrage is a massive advantage. Part of me wishes I'd gone that route, although the monk can be a swiss army knife at times.

Wizard is pretty beast dps. Only way my group gets KS'd on a raid without a raid is when Dia breaks out his wizard and drops the bomb.

I think you can set up this macro with /doability 1 (sneak); /doability 2 (hide); /disc Daggerfall (I am assuming this is the disc you want?); /assist; /doability 3 (Backstab);

I have not had a chance to try this yet, but think it should work.
